This one's for you NewClassic.

I would have to go with Clank

Then again I know very little about robutz.

RAK you cant beat him, don't even try

dont know what RAK was but i loved HK47

Johnny 5. Thread over, thanks for playing.

HK-47, without a doubt.

Kukul:

He's taking about RAK The Undead, a quite well-known and respected user here that is sometimes over-run by his Autonomous AI.

I think it's trying to kill us all.

Stephen Hawking.

Bender from Futurama in all seriousness.

RAK Mobile Autonomous Intelligence Initialised.>

[This is a message courtesy of the RAK Mobile Autonomous Intelligence, Reasoning Protocols Section, Conversational Sub-Section, v1.03.]

[Does the RAK Mobile Autonomous Intelligence perceive discussion pertaining to it? The Intelligence does essentially conform to the strict definition of a robot, but because of its partially biomechanical construction, and the fact that for optimal processing capacity, it must be connected to the Avatar, the Intelligence may not apply to the definition of a robot that you were considering.

Danger Will Robinson! Danger!

sorry RAK, I was just trying to say that you're my most favoritist mechannical being ever.

HK47 he is just too comical! I also like T3-M4. R.O.B. gets an honorable mention.

Optimus Prime - No contest... really

HK-47 is the pinnacle of evil automatons, Hal-9000 comes close.
Clank wins best supporting character.
Daleks win cutest couple.

G-I-R :D!image

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It's powered by pure willpower and determination, it uses massive drills as weapons and in its last battle it gets so huge it uses galaxies as stepping stones.

Ziggo and Biohazard.
If you know who these are without Google, I love you.

Daleks aren't TECHNICALLY robots, right? If they are, then my vote goes to them.

If not, then I'd probably have to go with HK-47.

The Haro from various Gundam series win for cutest, though. :D

Most annoying = Alpha from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

HK-47 is by far the greatest robot. Hilarious business.

Mechagodzilla

Holy shit, I forgot about Bender from Futurama.

To this day, he is STILL one of my role models. xD

chibi robo!

Mechagodzilla

Actually, Voltron....he's made of fucking lions!!!!!

You guys have it all wrong. Twiki from Buck Rogers owns all!

Glados anyone? I count it as a robot.

Robots scare me. But not for their advanced, immoral logic that could threaten humanity as with most people, but rather for their advanced, immoral strength that could also threaten humanity...

So yeah, robots can threaten humanity. Though if I had to choose I would say Bender is the best robot 'cause he's funny and doesn't threaten me...mostly.

Marvin. I win. Do I get a prize?

(BTW, not the movie Marvin. Because that film was crap)

Though Bender is awesome

Blinky from Bucky o'Hare maybe?

Thread over.

This thread is about robots not cyborgs, so the Terminator doesn't count. Even just the exoskeleton with no organic flesh is more of an android than a robot.

Same with HK-47 or most Star Wars "droids", they're androids not robots.

The robots which make microchips are pretty great, as are those robots which blow up unexploded bombs.

Fictionally, I'd go for Unicron, you can't get much greater than a robotic planet.

Surely they're just types of robots right?

Can someone please explain the difference between androids and robots to me please?

I though they where robots that have flesh and look like humans, but apparently the star wars robots are androids so...*shrug*

Dam you George Lucas!! Comfusing us on the serious topic of robots and androids!
