Ok due to my last post being well devoid of anything to really talk about I figure I best make something at least half decent.

So I give you my TV show thread. Warning will contain heavy spoilers!!

Knight Rider - Heroes - Prison Break - Sarah Connor Chronicles - Chuck - Robot Chicken - Family Guy - American Dad - House - Naruto - Bleach - Stargate Atlantis

These are my current shows that are releasing new eps. And I actually dont have anyone to talk to about them so lets shoot.

Ill start with the new knight rider then. So far its not been too bad, although some of the changes they made since the backdoor pilot have been well iffy. I liked the nano tech in the movie it was cool, and was far more believable that the way KITT transforms in the series. Esp into the truck. And Id say there is a distinct lack of hmm, impending doom especially in the 1st episode. The part when KITT had to accelerate to 377mph was done very badly imo. Well it wasnt really done was it, its like you have to get to 377mph, KITT cant do that. Oh were now at 377mph it didnt work.

But anyway so far i do like it, its more than watchable and i will continue watching, I think far too many people tune out far too easily and If Sarah Connor gets cancelled for this same reason i will not be very happy.

So yeah Please post your feelings on Knight Rider and any of the new seasons of the shows i mentioned.

Okay, here's my comment: Unfortunately I don't like any of those shows, except Robot Chicken. And I think the idea of a "new" Knight Rider is just beyond ridiculous.

This thread is kinda restrictive. Since you're opting for discussion, why not open the floor to the various poster's favorite show(s), and why they like it/them?

As far as Knight Rider, haven't gotten the chance to see it. Sorry. Come to think of it, the only one of those shows I watch is Family Guy and American Dad, but just because that's what was on the last time I turned on a TV for something other than gaming...

And it's been a while.

when do the new robot chicken episodes air, i feel as though i watch the same damn 3 episodes everytime it is on, and would love some new stuff.

Also, as a side note, start watching Dexter, season 3 just started, and that is pretty damn close to the best thing on TV at the moment.

Next Robot Chicken is on the 5th, but that appears to be the last of the series. As for Dexter, i have been told about it, but i have so many things to watch atm i really dont have the time to play catch up for 2 full seasons.

Family Guy

I could tolerate Family Guy when I was younger, but now I can't stand it. A women being viscerally beaten is not funny. Adding an out-of-place character does not change that.

Robot Chicken

Becoming formulaic, but it sometimes surprises.

About the Sarah Connor Chronicles. The Shirley Manson's character, is she a robot or a person?

Mythbusters.

Xkcd's argument is irrelevant when it comes to using 10,000 pounds of thrust rockets that fail catastrophically.

I also recommend Battlestar Galactica, although you'd have some catching up to do there, as well.

EDIT: And now, I can no longer participate in this thread, on account of not having seen season 3 yet.

THANK YOU! That and the fact that their jokes were dried up, and recycled twice by season two didn't help. And the fact that there's usually only 20% actually plot driven content.

I barely watch TV anymore.

If I can, I sometimes catch South Park or The Mighty Boosh. And the news.

Agreed. There are some good jokes, and ones that clinge to you, but overall the show itself is horrible.

Did anyone watch the Dexter premier yet, and if so how was it? My OnDemand service is not working at the moment.

Also, does anyone but me still watch and actually enjoy Survivor?

(kind of on topic)

Personally dude, I think too many people end up tuning IN far too easily. No one makes a show off their own back anymore with passion and heart which they then take to a TV station. They hire 30 pointless writers (*cough* Lost, Heroes *cough*)to fill a spot on their schedule to compete with another show on a another station and then advertise the hell out of it so people do that zombie thing like when they goto the cinema because they've seen the trailer so many times.

Oh and we can't forget about those people that watch things only so then call tell everyone they watch it. It's not creative, it's business, end of.

The first episode of Heroes, Series 3, was pretty good the other day. The glimps into the future was... interesting... to say the least.

Still waiting on Scrub at the moment tho. I've given up on "serious" tv these days, I just want to laugh ;)

I just don't get the non-dead baby humor mostly. Like at one point for whatever reason Stewie and the dog are beating a record shot-for-shot and with identical music to the Office Space copier beating scene.
I don't understand what I'm supposed to be laughing at. What, that I remembered that scene? That the Family guy characters are not, in fact, the characters from the movie?

Sorry, I don't watch any television except Top Gear and Doctor Who.

I watched five seconds of a trailer for Heroes - I knew almost immediately that I would utterly despise the show with every single synaptic fibre in my body. Yes, seriously. That badly.

As for House, I don't watch shows with any relevance to medical science. I wish to be a doctor eventually - I don't want any television shows misleading me as to what doctors actually do.

I have watched Robot Chicken on occasion and enjoyed it, but as my television time is extremely truncated compared to most people, I wouldn't go out of my way to break my routine to watch it.

Now, Bleach. Never watched it, but the impression I get from it would cause me to something like this: *Bangs head repeatedly on the table*. I'm very much a product of the West.

I thought I would hate Heroes, but I really enjoyed the first season. But the second just.. Eh. Didn't do anything for me.

Naruto is badly drawn and completely, ridiculously unbearable for me. I just cannot see the appeal of the show.

Things with new episodes coming out? 30 Rock is pretty much it.

Old shows I like are Clone High, Home Movies, Batman Beyond and Arrested Development.
