Hi

Just thought i would start a thread for any petrol heads or car junkies here. So what car(s) do you currently own (if any) and what would be your dream ride. Try to stick to real life vehicles, i dont mind if its a real vehicle with mods but no Nissan Micras with jet engines please.

I currently drive a 1992 2.0l mercedes 190e (with mods) which is pretty amazing for how cheap they are. But my dream car would be a 1957 Chevy with a full blown big block V8 as i just love that car to bits.

So whats yours?

I drive a '94 nissan pulsar Q....on gas...
yes im cheap

..
OK, dream car. Today the '63 Aston Martin DB4 series 5 convertable tickles my fancy.
I may go back the the v12 Vantage RS when should I pay attention to how impossible it is to get a series 5 DB4 convertable.

Current car:*Blank*
Dream car: A car

Current car: Nonexistant
Dream car: One that gets me form point A to point B with a minimum of $

I take it theres not alot of drivers or drivers to be on this site.

Current car: nil, too rich for my blood.

Dream car: A Tesla Roadster. I read about it in Wired last year, and saw one in action on, of all places, Xbox Live's "Major's Minute". Sweet, sweet ride, 0-60mph in 3.9s, looks hot enough to melt the pavement while standing still, and it's 100% electric. (And, alas, $100,000... so it's going to remain a dream, I think.)

-- Steve

Current car: 1997 Volkswagen Golf Mk3, 1.4L (60hp) in Tornado Red.

Dream car: Loads of them, actually -

TVR Cerbera, 4.2L V8
Lotus Esprit, turbocharged 2.2L I4 or later 3.5L V8
Lamborghini Countach, LP400, 4.0L V12
Ferrari 250 GTO, 3.0L V12
Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, 3.7L I6
Jaguar E-Type, 3.8L I6

(BTW, the whole "I want a car that gets me from A to B" irritates me - I think of cars as far more than just transportation devices. I'm one of the Escapist's resident car nerds.)

I don't have a car, so I guess my dream car would be a car.

It would go 'vroom' and help me pick-up chicks. Who am I kidding, I don't need any help picking-up chicks! I'm awesome!

......

I'm so lonely

I'm a man with simple needs and wants.

My current car is a 1988 Nissan 300zx.

My dream car is a 1988 Nissan 300zx that works.

Current car: None (License in a few months hopefully)

Dream car: Porsche. Any porsche.

Current car: Citroen C4 VTS180 with some power upgrades.

Dream car:
Aston Martin DBS
70 Mustang Boss 429 in Grabber Blue.
Koenisegg CCX
TVR Speed 12
Pagani Zonda F

There are loads of supercars and dream cars. Bit of a petrol head.

Current car: volvo-1985 station wagon. i love this car to bits and she'll never die

Dream car: Chevy Camaro 81' (last year before the body change) with a 350 v8 iv been keeping an eye out for this one.

Haven't got a car, but Citroen are releasing a car based on a GT5 car and have apparently been workin with the game designers on it. Saw a photo in a newspaper the other day. It is sweeeeet.

Current ca=

Current Car: NYC transit

Dream Car: Ford Fiesta with a body kit. But since they only made 30,000 or so I'd go with a Lotus Exige instead.

Current 81 Buick Electra Hearse

Dream cars

59' Cadillac by Miller Meteor
or
60' Buick by Flxible

i currently own an old Ford, from the year 1984 (i think), and its a real piece of crap, i wouldnt mind having a a Van, either painted as the A-Team Van, or Flower Power painted, that would be bad-ass :D

scumofsociety:
Current car: 1996 Escort 1.8 petrol.

Dream car: Well, I know it's not really a car, but I really would love one of these... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTR-80

Otherwise I don't really care as long as it is reliable and no smaller & slower than the one I have at the moment.

Well, that is a Personel Carrier, and i guess the same could be said about a car... ;)

Current: Jeep Grand Cherokee, good sis, pick the damn car that burns half a fucking tank on my way to school.

Dream: My dad's Volvo.

The dukes of hazard car. A ford charger i beleive.

Current: Toyota Matrix 2005
Dream : International Maxxpro

I drive an 07 Toyota Matrix, manual transmission, total basic package.

My dream car would have to be a T-Top convertable Corvette, anything ranging from 1993-2009, but a '93 Speedster, '06 ZR6, or the '08 ZR1 would be preferred. I'd say the ZR1 most of all.

Current: Toyota Corolla T-Sport 1.8 VVTLi (most people in the UK don't know what it is, chavs are funny)
Dream: Nissan GTR or Holden Monaro

Current Car
2008 Honda Civic EX (Coupe)

Dream Car
For Driving Fast:
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster

For Driving Comfortably:
Probably a Rolls Royce... Doesn't really matter which one, they're all absurdly nice.

Current Car: A Chevy 96 Blazer.

Dream Car:

Ok, don't hate on me for being all gay, but...

I totally want one of those convertible VW Beetles in that electric blue with the black top and the cream interior...

They're just so...cute.

It's around 8 inches, so it's long enough, but I'd really rather it were a little wider.

...what?

Oh, damn. I was thinking of something else...

King Hippo:
The dukes of hazard car. A ford charger i beleive.

That would be a Dodge Charger which is an awesome car.

Current: 1996 Honda Passport

Dream: [Any Year] classic Ford Mustang. If I had to pick one then the 1967.

Current Car: Silver '03 Nissan Pulsar

Dream Car: My Pulsar once we finally finish the bodykit and work out what airbrushing is going on it. Sometime 2010 or 11 hopefully. Only get a weekend a month to work on it, and beer is getting expensive. Oh, so are the parts and tools.

Current car: It resembles a pair of feet.

Dream car: Something that doesn't swallow the gas as fast as them dangit cars tuhday.

Current Car: Citroen Saxo MK1

Dream Car: Mmmmmmm, lamborghini Gallardo.

Current car is a '93 Toyota Corolla Hatchback.

It broke down today actually. The fan belt broke, the radiator is shot and the water pump seized up.

Oh and I had coolant spray all over my windscreen.

That and it took an hour for the RAC guy to get there.

AND I have to get the CV joint fixed, oh boy.

Dream Car : Right now, within reason, a Mitsubishi Lancer.

Downside:
I take it theres not alot of drivers or drivers to be on this site.

Not only that, but there are few Gearheads on this site as well...

Personally, I drive a 1992 Cadillac DeVille with a 4.9 liter Pushrod V-8. I just put a new deck in and she REALLY thumps now. Just for the hell of it, my friend and I had a race from a rolling start. (He has a 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse, so I figured I would give him that advantage.) I was a car length ahead of him by the time he was maxing out his second gear.

I have personally reaffirmed my belief that there is no replacement for displacement.

I am hoping to fix it up and make it a show car. My girlfriend is a little hung up on the fact that I want to paint it Money Green Metal-flake. I think it will look incredible, but she isn't so sure...

My dream cars:

2003 Lotus Esprit
1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Malibu 454
2007 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster

scumofsociety:
Current car: 1996 Escort 1.8 petrol.

Dream car: Well, I know it's not really a car, but I really would love one of these... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTR-80

Otherwise I don't really care as long as it is reliable and no smaller & slower than the one I have at the moment.

That is awesome. I used to want one of those as well... Then I went from Awesomeness to Speed as my main focus, so that dream kind of died... If you can get one, do it, just to make guys like me jealous.

Current Ride: 2003 Honda Element
Dream Car: Bugatti Veyron or a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé.

I love the Veyron! I just wish it didn't cost $1.6 million (£800,000 or €1,100,000).
