What do you do each morning to prepare yourself for the day? I'm not talking about brushing your teeth, getting dressed, eating breakfast, etc. What I do is i wake up take a shower, brush my teeth, then go back to bed for 10 minutes, after the reast of my morning preparations are done I then watch Youtube for half an hour (or sleep some more if I'm really tired) and then leave to the bus.
Due to my incredulous waking habits, I often find myself unintentionally sleeping right through my alarm clock. One time, I decided that I really needed to get up early, so I set up my ipod and stereo to blast pounding death metal literally RIGHT INTO MY EARS. As in, 6 inches from my head. The stereo was on loud enough to wake my sister through the semi-sound-proof wall, and yet it failed to wake me up. In fact, in my dream, I heard the music and actually started to sing along with it!
Then I usually have a coffee (maybe breakfast if I have time), get dressed, another smoke & finally clean my teeth before leaving the house. I don't see the point in cleaning my teeth as soon as I get up, before I've eaten, it makes my coffee & food taste funny.
Put on my finest black clothing, grab my umbrella and trench coat, take the black sedan to the cemetery.
Wait... morning rituals and not mourning rituals? Well in that case, let the alarm wake me up, lie in bed for a half hour thinking about what I have to do and how long it will take me, then get up and finish it all in five minutes before heading out the door. Usually as simple as dress and pack my bag.

See I don't believe in breakfast. Haven't had anything the remotely resembles breakfast since I was 14. I pretty much operate on coffee and cigs.
It has become a ritual of mine to utter several obscenities any morning when I'm awoken by my alarm clock. I've had this same clock since my freshman year of high school, you see, and I've come to associate the sound of it's alarm with feeling exhausted and being up far too early. Ridiculous, I know, but I always feel the need to vent my rage at not going to bed early enough, and muttering obscenities is the only way I can think to do it at 5:25 in the morning.
- Sleep through alarm and miss first class. - Wake up and wonder where the hell I am before my memories come flooding back - Put on clothing - Review emails while eating handfuls of dry cereal out of the box and listening to Spanish guitar music - Pop some painkillers and go out into the world.
(this is exactly what I did today. the painkillers are for an ear infection)

My morning ritual: -Wake up -Get out of bed and trip over my cat -Fall asleep on floor for about thirty more minutes -Get woken up by my second alarm -Get up again -Put clothes on -Cook breakfast and make coffee -Log on to the Escapist -Watch Youtube vids for an hour or so and do miscellaneous things on the internet -Take a Twenty minute nap on the couch -Leave for school
-Refuse to get up. -Start feeling like I'm missing the day. -Try to get up. -Fail -Force my body to do what I'm telling it to. -Wander around for a bit until thoughts stop being disjointed, quirky things and start making some sense. -Scratch myself. -Resume what I was doing yesterday.
Because it takes me roughly two hours to shower, eat breakfast, and then get my hair dry, and I leave an hour for getting to class. I have to wake up three hours in advance... which means I wake up at 6:00 AM almost every day, except for Fridays, when I get up at 5:00 AM due to a three-hour-long 8:00 AM lecture. I never actually have any trouble getting up in the morning, unlike most people (I go to bed fairly early, between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM), and often I'm at least in the process of waking up before my alarm clock goes off. When it does go off, I tend to jump out of bed instantly and mash the button as fast as possible, almost like over the years I've been programmed to know precisely when my alarm clock is going to go off. Then again, maybe it's just because I used to have it tuned to an "easy rock" station and I've become so terrified at the stuff that I can anticipate it before it even plays. Eugh.
As soon as I wake up, often stumbling across the room, I turn on my computer so It will be ready when I get out of the shower. Then I see if I survived the night in Urban Dead or if some jerk revivified me!
8:00am - Alarm goes off 8:15am - I've grown tired of slapping the snooze button and actually haul my ass out of bed 8:30am - I'm done my shower 8:45am - I'm out the door 8:55-9:05am I arrive at work, my shift began at 8.
Other days: 7:00 AM - Wake up to the worst sound in the world 7:20 AM - Finally showered, fumbled my clothes on, and my stuff is by the door, waiting. 7:30 AM - Breakfasted. 7:45 AM - After a brief struggle and some broken furniture, I usually have my contacts in. 7:50 AM - Out the door.
School Day: 1.) Be Awakened. 2.) Fall asleep while eating. 3.)Come to at 6:20. 4.)Get dressed. 5.)Pack lunch 6.)Briefly check my Escapist profile. 7.)Tend to the prisoners.(Just kidding..... Not really.) 8.)Get to the bus stop. 9.)Get on the bus. 10.)Listen to Ipod.
No-School: 1.)Wake up. 2.)Check computer briefly. 3.)Eat breakfast 4.)Play Games till 1:00 A.M.
I wake up each morning, get myself a gun. Momma says I will be the chosen one. She says 'you're one in a million...you've got to burn to shine but you were born under a bad sign with a blue moon in your eyes'. I wake up and all the love is gone, my papa never taught me about right and wrong.
1.) Half wake with my alarm around nine 2.) Hit snooze roll back over 3.) Hit snooze again, roll back over 4.) Hit snooze again, roll back over 5.) Hit snooze again, roll back over 6.) Eventually sleep through the alarm for an extent, glance at it to see it says Noon, and realize my class is in twenty minutes 7.) Shout obscenities at myself whilst jumping out of bed 8.) Throwing some cloths on, grabbing my bag and booking it out the door. 9.) Always manage to stop for coffee and not be late for class
Weekends
1.) Half wake up with my alarm around nine 2.) Curse and grumble that I forgot to shut off the alarm, and then do so 3.) Sleep till at least two 4.) Pull myself out of bed.
6:45AM - Alarm 1 goes off(normally get up at this one) 7:00AM - Alarm 2 goes off(normally have to rush back to my room from the bathroom to turn it off because I forget I set it each night) 7:15AM - Haven't washed up by this time, just used the bathroom to rid myself of my bodily fluids for the morning, chuck on tracksuits and do my morning workout. 8:00AM - Breakfast, weetabix with raisins and banana on it, without fail, god help whoever catches me and I haven't had my weetabix. 8:15AM - Wash up, brush teeth, comb hair, general bathroom stuff. 8:30AM - Out the door to uni. (Or if it's a Monday(I start at 11)I doss on my laptop until 10:30 then head out the door)
Coffee! Wake up, coffee in bed, finish that, breakfast, another coffee and then I take my DS outside and have a smoke. From there the day could go anywhere!

When I wake up in the morning, I spend around 10 minutes sleepily staring at the ceiling. After that, I usually fall asleep again for another several minutes. Then comes the staring again until I get out of bed. After that, who knows what will happen?
I have my alarm clock set to 7 am, 7:15 and 7:30. At the 7:30 ring I stumble out of bed, get dressed, have smoke, get something to drink and then go to college. Nothing special.
Grunt at alarm, turn over. Grunt at snooze, move cat out of the way, look for glasses. Find alarm, switch off. Scratch nads. Turn on computer, go to loo, stroke cat, feed cat, check mail Reply to something, send a message to my loved one. Realise I only have 5 minutes left, rush round the house swearing, grab a cold coffee, throw clothes on and run for the bus Stop and check I actually have everything Flag the bus down.
Wake up Look at the clock Go back to sleep for another 10 - 20 minutes I then force myself to get up for if I don't, I'll miss my bus. After I get up, I rumage around for my pants and a shirt. Find my clothes, go downstairs. Check e-mail/escapist. Go downstairs and get something to drink/eat. And then I leave for the bus. (and yes I brush my teeth for those who will think I don't, I brush when I get home from school and before I hit the sack)
But then I get to school and go to 1st period, which I'm able to get to the escapist from, so there for I am not bored.
Listen to Radiohead. No suprises is the third song on the playlist that wakes me up. It either makes me hugely depressed or grin ear to ear. My day goes accordingly.
Alarm goes off. Half-naked lunge for the alarm on the other side of the room. Put on clothes. Bang elbow on bedroom doorknob. Scream in pain following crippled elbow. Brush teeth. Look at feet before remembering to have breakfast. Have toast buttered with a fork (I have no butter knives) Do a power-leap over the stairs - its become a habit, I even have the Six Million Dollar Man Jump SFX on my iPod - and run out the door.
