As said above, what out of the ordinary things do you have on your desktop right at this moment.

Personally I have Spore, Bioshock, and Starcraft Broodwar shortcuts on one side of my desktop, and the entire Zork anothology on the other. The different Zork anthology shortcuts even spell out Z O R K 0, for Zork 1-3, Beyond Zork and Zork zero.

Is that a shortcut to something, an image file or your desktop itself?

Several shortcuts including Google Chrome, VTMB (Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines), Paint (I get bored easily), iTunes, Windows Live Messenger, MS Word. All the typical shit really. At one point I had removed the recycle bin from it out of boredom, but now it's back.

I'm playing through that right now- it might have some shitty AI, but it has one of the best story lines that I've seen in a game... And some of the best characters......Plus you get to be a vampire, which is cool.....

Anyway, I also just found that I have an N64 emulator lying on my desktop at the moment.

My desktop is eternally blank. I like it better that way. I have steam and opera in quick launch though, and I launch almost all games through steam.

Separate folders for games, movies, music, installation files, minor software, and documents. Recycling bin, firefox, foobar, and that's it.

I had one of those but it was really buggy and lagged like crazy.

Wow, I've got 31 shortcuts, lol. though that's only 2 columns at 1900x1200 resolution :p huh, four of them are homeworld 2 mods - but not the vanilla game, lol

I think I tried to group them by programme-type - graphics, system and sound utilities, fps games, rts games etc, but I think a dodgy old freeware game crashed, changed my desktop res and messed the order up D: now i just can't be arsed to put them all back in order...

Oh, and there's a giant stapler in the middle of my desktop... I have no idea why.

I have AVG free, because I don't want to pay for things if I can avoid it. I wonder if it's still eating my programs.

Yes indeed. They should have waited for Valve to finish their AI system. Would have been way better.

Nothing, I despise a cluttered desktop, I have all bars set to hide so as not to obscure my rather cool picture of the Dedalus.

A lot more now thanks to my brand spanking new 24in monitor. :)

What's on it? Links to office programs, programming stuff, gaming stuff, retro gaming stuff, media, etc... you name it, I probably have it on my desktop. I keep it nice and tidy though.

I don't like clutter on my desktop, so the only thing there is the Recycle Bin.

Most definitely, plus, the devs should have not released it on the exact same day that Half-Life 2 came out.....Talk about some bad planning.....

The one I'm using at the moment is Project64, and it runs quite well- very polished product, really.....

What other wierd stuff do I have on my desktop? Hmmm......Ah, I have a bunch of Yahtzee's 'Trilby' games, even though I haven't played any of them yet.

Nothing of interest for icons, but this is centered for my background. It makes me chuckle.

I've seen that guy on telivision before. It's funny how he manages to make diabetes seem hilarious.

Wilford Brimley's the man. I loved him in The Thing. My dad looks just like him.

A few folders full of images, and a Pete Samples song someone emailed to me. Pretty boring, really.
