October 28th 3:35 pm in Leicester. We have snow.

Now I know you Canucks might not think "Wow" but I'm sure all us Brits do. :)

Just to elaborate a bit, we haven't really had a decent winter for decades, and snow appearing this early has my hopes up for a White Christmas.

Dunno how it works around the rest of the world, but I'm assuming Aussies have it in July? Or ....actually no, I've no idea how it works round there.

ummm, cool?

Hah! It's bloody WARM here at the moment, today's expected high is +15 degrees Celsius.

It snowed a little bit here in Wisconsin yesterday. I hope we get a lot more so I can go snowboarding.

Snow? .. What's that?

I haven't experienced a 'proper' cold winter in years... While I can't really complain, it was actually more fun that way (natural ice.. snow.. hot cup of chocolate around a campfire?).

I'm jealous. It wont snow in Massachusetts for at least a month still.

Forecast in my region (London, Ontario) calls for snow overnight but only a dusting. Er, waitaminute, just checked again and now they're calling for 2-4cm overnight. Hm. Time to bust out the fur hat. Still, they say it'll be 14°C by Friday so it won't stick around.

It is unusual these days for England to get snow this early in the year, though. Enjoy it while you can!

No snow down in Kent, but Im right on the coast, the rest of the UK can be a foot under in snow and Ill still only get a sprinkle.
And yes for some of you snow is common, for others its a bloody miricale.

No snow here (southern United States) but there's a lot of stuff frozen outside this morning and that's unusual this early. Usually doesn't happen until mid-late November. My hopes, also, are up for a white Christmas.

It's snowing tonight here in Vermont, and was snowing for a while last week I think.

We tend to get a lot of snow [/understatement].

No snow in Copenhagen, Denmark yet. It will probably be at least a month before we even see it, being a mostly coastal country.

I really want snow this year. I moved down here (to North Carolina), from Canada (Montreal) 6 years ago - and I've only had one or two snowy winters since. I hope we get some this year. It's been pretty damned cold for October here so far. Maybe we'll get lucky.

I like snow but when it starts getting about waist high then its a bit ridiculous.

Well its raining in Oxford at the mo... chance of snow sticking seems rather slim...

I like snow. :)

No snow in Brighton, but there barely ever is here.

Same when i lived in norway at this time

I live in Northern Ireland, and there was some snow this morning, but some real heavy hail stones in the afternoon.

No Snow in London. Never Snows in London. Damn You Urban Heat Island.

Well I'm at aberystwyth in wales at the moment and apparently its famed for its white Christmases, despite being by the sea. Back home though in cornwall? I would have to go to the moors to see more that a bit of slush and ice, which is the best we would ever get.

i didnt notice it was snowing until i was outside without a jacket on lol.

laughing, in the out loud sense at your meteorological commentary above. I will say here in Vancouver (in the Canadas) we are fortunate to only have to endure maybe a weeks worth of snow to ground contact per year. But back in my prairie home on the other side of the mountains in Alberta, snowing mid June... yeah it's happened.

I am really not a fan of the white stuff any more. I'm glad to be in Vancouver... Maybe I'll have to move to Australia. My brother in law's an aussie he could set me up...

I kinda wish it would snow in San Luis Obispo. It seemed to be getting warmer the later the year got, then yesterday the average temp for the day plummeted from 86 F to about 69 F. But someone told me it never snows in SLO...

Yeah its snowing across here in the midlands!

Brrrrrrmingham is snowing!

I may have a smattering of knowledge on most things, but geography I totally suck at.

We certainly need a cold winter this year. LI'm not sure why, exactly, but according to naturists it'll be good for our honeybees. I could work it out, but right now I can't be arsed. Still, more snow is cool.

Lucky git, in Edinburgh it was freezing all day, and it didn't snow once. And I had 2 periods of PE, I almost froze to death.

Almost snow here in Vermont. It's about 38-42 degrees regularly now, it's raining alot, and the temp/ keep dropping little by little. I can't wait. I love snow.

Ahhh we're supposed to get snow tonight. I like snow, at least it gives it a valid reason for it to be so bloody cold.

Instead you get bleak soul crushing London rain, I was there for 4 days and the constant grey skies and threat of rain was downright depressing.

WOO!

Let's give it up for Leicster snow-everyone around me just started cheering when the snow started to patter down.

No snow in Blackpool, but it's cold enough & if there was any precipitation in the air it would probably fall as snow, if it's not prevented by the sea air.

Be interesting to see if they've fixed the Shires/Highcross's heating yet. :)

Now you can work out why "The Office" was set in Slough.
