Be interesting to see if they've fixed the Shires/Highcross's heating yet. :)

Hopefully so - I was planning on heading down there soonish.

EDIT: Bah, annoying quote boxes.

I'd pop into "The Works" on the way, across from Starbucks. They've got some of the old Transformer series on DVD for a very cheap price. ;)

Dunno how it works around the rest of the world, but I'm assuming Aussies have it in July? Or ....actually no, I've no idea how it works round there.

LOL ,I thought that once too, when my Austrailian friend told me that their winter season is in July.

I was like "You have Christmas in July?" & they very slowly explained to me that their Winter season is in July, but they celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December like everyone else, which just happens to be in the height of their Summer, & that Christmas is defined by the date not the weather.

I felt like a bit of an idiot, but not much, for jumping to the natural conclusion that Winter = Christmas.

It is mid fall here in the northern hemisphere and here in the great northwest of the U.S. it was 75 fucking degrees farenheit yesterday, it should be 50 degrees and raining. WTF?

I wish it was snowing here, and I told my mum about that and she complete ignored me!
I mean, who does not like snow?
Snow can kill evil aliens most especially who produce red-gold fungus around the world and also who can penitrate your ass. Aliens are scared of cold!

Global Warming, we'll see a lot more unusual weather, increase in frequency of freak events..

Not really, as temperature increases the weather settles down and becomes more rather than less predictable, any period in history that saw higher temperatures saw more stability in weather patterns, its the periods where its cold that get the unstable weather. The worst though is the periods where there is serious difference in temperature between the planets surface and the troposphere (as was the case during the 90's and first few years of this century when surface temp was getting warmer and the troposphere was largely getting colder).

Back on topic, I want some snow dammit, haven't had a white christmas in my hometown since 2000.

Where I live it's been raining like fuck, I heard that tonight it's supposed to get cold enough for some snow, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Not enough to keep me out of school atleast.

Eh, no big deal, here in wyoming last year we had snow in september, and it stayed for the rest of the winter. It was one hell of a winter last year.

I have also seen it snow in august, it didn't stick, but it did snow.

London is one of the warmist places in England.
Try living in Manchester, it's cold and wet all year round.

it snowed extremely lightly last night, for just a few minutes here in Indiana. I just happened to be walking out of the store when it happened. Pretty cool

I kinda wish it would snow in San Luis Obispo. It seemed to be getting warmer the later the year got, then yesterday the average temp for the day plummeted from 86 F to about 69 F. But someone told me it never snows in SLO...

No, sadly, it doesn't snow in SLO. I lived there for a few years and though we had some odd weather compared to the rest of California it was never even remotely cold enough to produce any snow. You'll be bottoming out at around 40 degrees (Farenheit for the rest us). Still though, snow or not, I miss SLO :(

I'm jealous. It wont snow in Massachusetts for at least a month still.

At least you get snow. Down in Texas we never get snow and lowest temperature I've felt in awhile was around 45 degrees, which, compared to other temperatures that have been listed so far, is definitley not as cold.

Oh yes it will. We'll get snow before Thanksgiving, granted the world doesn't end before then.

Snowing down here in the South. near Wycombe (I don't actually Live there, God No, but just got a call from someone who does) and apparently the snow is thick enough to loose a band of shrews in!

Fingers crossed for a white Christmas

well if it starts snowing here something weird is happening since I live in the desert, strangely enough if I travel an couple hundred miles north I'll be in the part of the state that gets around 156 inches of snow annually(last time I checked), strange ,one part of the state is a desert the other part gets snow all the way through march probably even later then that.

God I hate snow, in Chicago it snows for 4 months of the year and makes the most mundane tasks, like walking, incredibly annoying.

Almost snow here in Vermont. It's about 38-42 degrees regularly now, it's raining alot, and the temp/ keep dropping little by little. I can't wait. I love snow.

It's supposed to start snowing tonight and continue tomorrow, I think.

It's just raining right now here in Maine. I think it's supposed to snow a bit tomorrow night.

I hate snow. I hate shoveling out the driveway, and it makes it downright treacherous to drive. I wish I could move to Florida...

Seeing as nobody answered this particular question:

Most of Australia never sees snow. Ever. Unless you climb a mountain. Some Australians go their entire life without seeing it. I have been to one of the aforementioned mountains. It's bloody cold and not worth it, your all crazy and freezing.
