I have no idea what on earth the new xbox experience is, not even after reading your opening post. Could you tell me?
not mii | |
Seen as though 360 number 5 has jut died on me.......no.
To be honest I have no opinion either way. I'm never online so it doesn't really affect me. From the trailer I saw I think the current layout is perfectly fine and I don't really care for the new one as much but change is inevitable as facebook users will have to understand and GET A LIFE!
'Excited' isn't the term I'd use. I'd say that I think it's going to be 'neat', but I'm not exactly spending sleepless nights in anticipation.
Same. I think the new party system looks pretty cool, but I'm not hopping around like the Energizer bunny.
you don't have to place your console in the fiery back sweat of a sunstricken italian to get the best performance out of it you know
3rd. The mii ripe offs look kind of cool, but I just don't know that much about it to be excited. It just looks different to me, it doesn't seem to be a console changing thing.
Lol, Knew I was going wrong somewhere. *fires his sweaty friend & replaces him with a well ventilated shelf*
I still pose the question : What is Xbox Experience?
It looks alright, quite neat but dosen't seem all that spectacular.
Just a new dashboard for the 360 really, new party chat option & bloody annoying Mii rip-offs. Looks a little bit like an i-pod touch if you ask me. Microsofts attempt to get "down with the kids"
The ability to run games from the hard drive to eliminate disc noise is the only thing that I'm interested in, and that's gonna be a godsend. My 360 runs so damn noisy, it's like having a truck idling on the desk which completely ruins any game that's meant to be in any way atmospheric.
Oh. In that case no. It sounds like a pointless gimmick to me.
there you go, that should do you better :P
The new party system, new streamed games and the abilty to burn games to your hard-drive all intrest me, I like the new look, but Im not to bothred. The fact you get the blades instad of the guide is also cool.
Im so excited i'm gonna let the whole thing pass me by without any attempt to research or try it out. Thats how excited I am :-)
Since you own a 360 I reccommed checking out the advertisments on live, theres a lot more to it than avatars and the chat system.
The NXE is the estranged lovechild of the PS3's XMB and the Wii's Mii - so i already have both and just hate it for the outrageously pretentious name they gave it.
NXE - Turns your 360 into a wii in 5 seconds flat!
If they would release an update that will stop the hardware from failing I would be excited. No more phone calls to UPS for me then. I am hoping putting games on the HD will contribute to less over heating issues. Not holding my breath though.
yeah this seems to be a response to ps3's home and the wii's mii and a bad failure
Basically xbox is realising all new features in a update that is coming soon. The update includes avatars that everybody is saying is a rip-off of nintendo, a party system for you and 7 friends, changes to the dashboard like a diffrent meathod to see your achievments and more. http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/live/NXE/ is where microsoft have all of the infomation about it.
I'm not 'exited', or excited. The NXE looks very immature, an imitation of the Wii perhaps. The Xbox has, I'm guessing, a more mature userbase than the Wii, and MS should reflect this in their software.
Maybe you just haven't found the right Italian for the job yet.
I really don't know if this has been said before but, what the hell is exited?
Actually MS have loaded a special version of NXE for people who don't enjoy fun, it's basically just a CMD prompt and you have to run everything manually.
I'm looking forward to it. The fact you can burn games to the hard drive is good cause it means I can finally use my 120gb HDD, everything else seems to just make the system a bit more user friendly and speed up the xboxs performance.
I'd rather not see it myself...
I don't need to be excited about it, I already have it. It's better than the old system by far. Everything's quicker to access, less button presses away, prettier, and generally much improved.
Apart from burning games to the hard drive, Negative.
I've been in the preview program for a week (avatar on the right), and I've been impressed. There are a few parts I don't care for very much - some parts of the friends area, for example - and a few areas I haven't been able to really test, but overall it's very slick and welcome upgrade. I believe Susan is planning on having a preview, with some video, up some time today. My favorite part, by far, has been having Fallout 3 installed to the hard drive. The system is almost completely silent when not using the DVD drive.
I like the idea of 'installing' your games to your hard-drive but I don't know if it's really gonna be worth it.
There's a lot to look forward to in my book. Not sleepless nights or taking Wednesday off to wait for it, but still pretty cool. The hard drive game install is definitely cool, and I haven't heard any negatives about the new menu setup, and I'm indifferent to the avatar setup. I'm not sure how many people on this forum have Netflix, but that's the big selling point for me. I'm looking forward to being able to stream movies and tv shows on my console.

After all the chatter about the new xbox experience, I wounder how many people actually care about it. What feature actually stands out to you and why? Will you use the new features or just leave them alone?
