In Good Luck Chuck watching Chuck turn into a psycho stalker and the movie seeming to be okay with it made me feel pain for paying $8 to see it.

No, I saw that coming because I read the books before I saw the films. It sounds so much more gruesome in word form, trust me on that.

Chinatown, that scene felt like a literal punch in the gut.

In a bad movie way, 10 Things I Hate About You actually made me borderline suicidal for awhile.

Did you fall asleep in the middle or something? What about the part with Meany-kin and the Jedi kiddies?

In The Conversation, (Coppola's hidden masterpiece) the scene where Gene Hackman is hiding in the hotel room, and

What hurts is that Hackman can't do anything to prevent this event, and he really shows his weakness. Great acting.

Also, Serenity. Oh man, those characters dying, heart-wrenching every time.

How about almost every movie Mel Gibson does? His character almost always gets beaten within an inch of his life in those films.

In the first Saw movie when the guy slowly saws through his own leg! Just a painful thought.

The prison riot/breakout scene near the end of Natural Born Killers made me extremely cringey.

That part always gets me... doesn't matter if it's in the movie or the trade paperback...

And don't forget the classic, "Anakin- you're breaking my heart!"

That was laughable. I actually burst out laughing in the theater at that point, which wasn't really noticed.

......Then there was that kiss in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix...*shudders*.....It was like watching two mannequins.....

And, I am ashamed to say it, but the bit where the Elves came to Helm's Deep in the second Lord of the Rings film was rather painful, just because it seemed a bit indulgent....Not too painful, though.

Don't worry, I'll think of more- I've tons more....

The entire sauna fight scene from Eastern Promises. It's roughly ten minutes of a buck naked Russian man getting the shit beat out of him, until he finally brutally kills both of his attackers. I cringed through the entire scene, actually feeling each hit that was landed. By the way, Eastern Promises is a MUST SEE if you haven't already.

Snide: Zombie movies, none of the characters have even a pinch of common sense (basic, widespread, zombie understanding aside), it hurts to watch.

Serious: That movie, clooney, can't remember, has his fingernails torn out. Ouch.

In Death Race, seeing Jason Statham violated by the prison guard made me want to cry and throwup.

What did they do to you Jason...What did they do...

In the Golden Compass the witch (who's name I forgot) flies from the sky, tells Layra shes a witch and then flies away.

Actually all of that movie except for the bear fight was lame and even the bear fight wasn't as good as the book!

My heart ripped itself apart.

Dude, all of Death race was painful. Even the action was rather subpar.
When I go to get violence, I expect it served WITHOUT bitchiness or emo behavior.

Oh, and the obvious Star Wars/ Indiana Jones failures.

There was this movie based on D&D, imaginatively named Dungeons and Dragons. I saw it once as a kid, loved it. Years later, my brother bought it and I was ecstatic.
I watched it.
The acting was, for lack of a better word, shit. So shit that I felt bad for having liked it as a child.

Oddly, no one has named the 20 minute rape-scene from "Irreversible".. That was terrible

Also the head-smashed-in-with-fire-extinguisher from the same movie

Wash dying in Serenity.
-
Optimus Prime's death in the original movie made my cry as a kid, the music while he's on his death bed and the life support slowly goes off still makes my a little emotional. "But Prime, I'm just a soldier." Still a kick ass line.

In the fight between Megatron and Optimus I swear I can feel each of the laser blasts that hit Optimus while Megatron is screaming "Fall! Fall!". Then when Optimus delivers that haymaker and knocks Megatron off the building, fuck yeah!
-
The bit in the new Dawn of the Dead where the actions of the idiot girl practically doom the survivors. Made doubly worse when that prick Steve isn't watching the door.

You lasted quite a long time. I abandoned hope in the beginning of the movie, when R2-D2 becomes an action hero.

BoT: Pretty much every time in movies when someone gets kicked in the groin.

Makes me wonder, is George Lucas doing this on purpose?

Deliverance - "Squeal like a pig!" - That scene always gets to me, and hadn't it been for the fact that the movie is great, I would turn it off at that point, every single time.

Pulp Fiction - Same as above.

Serenity - Like most have said:

Unfortunately I'm one of those who watched the movie and then found out about the show, so it didn't hit me that hard the first time. Does every time since, though.

I think most people would like to forget one of the most terrifying, sickening and sad scenes ever filmed.

For me the Curb Stomping Scene from American History X almost made me throw up.

When the narrator beats the crap out of the pretty guy in fight club. I want to smother the beaches i would never see, i wanted to the put a bullet through the eyes of every panda that wouldn't screw to save its species. the bloody, rasping gasp of breath at the end is just Ouch.

The scene in 'land of the dead' (which I find to be a hilarious film) where the zombies go through the mall and there's a girl who gets her navel ring pulled out. That made me wince.

As for star wars ep III the whole thing was painful. But the scene when Anakin goes to the temple, and the youngling asks 'what do we do master anakin?' was particularly bad, like there should have been a sign saying HE'S EVIL, LOOK HE'S KILLING THE KIDDIES!!

Requiem for a Dream - God...just about everything.

The Scenes that stick to me most:

Needless to say, the film is scarring and the only thing i would show teenagers to stop them from drug abuse.

Anyone here see Rambo? The goriest movie ever made; it was pretty cringe-worthy at the beginning, but by the end you've seen so many people get blown into thousands of small meaty chunks that you just kind of passively see it happening.

It's gotta be bambi for me. When I watched it as a kid I balled my eyes out for the little deer getting his/her (its a dude right?) mother shot. Watched it again this year, and its still such a brutal scene; humans seem like such vulgar creatures in killing the mother, really hits home. Actually those old disney movies are actually fairly deep as opposed to the crap today that children get.

The last one... Every time I see them curl up I want to cry, if I'm not already crying. To add to your list...

I also submit, fresh from Quantum of Solace...

But almost any movie with a scene involving someone's one true love being killed and the protagonist holding their dead body is terrible for me to watch. I'm such a sucker for well-done drama.
