fix-the-spade:
I belt out 20 miles a day on my Bicycle. Time-trial style to and from work.

Plus riding a BMX in the early mornings, a mountain bike at the weekends, swimming when the urge takes me and humping large boxes around as part of my job.

I am extremely fit.
But rather annoyingly have absolutely no pectoral muscles or biceps, gaaaaahhhhhhh.

Do pull ups, they are the best upper body work out.

Foolish Mortal:
Parkour/freerunning (whichever one takes my fancy at the time)

advanteges
1) its none competative
2) you can do it anywhere
3) Its a hell of a lot of fun!

Although the problem is trying to find a group to do it with...

I concur, Parkour is great, I love it! so much fun, still not great at it yet, but it is hella fun.

I barely do much exercise but that don't stop me playing badminton. I work out at home with what I have and run. PE helps too.

Pedro - I concur with those who've mentioned DDR. I used to play a lot back in university, enough to even play competitively, and it's fantastic exercise.

One of the best things about it is that like all other music games, it gets harder as you go along, but to have a chance at passing the really hard stuff, you have to be in somewhat decent shape. So getting addicted to it and trying to pass harder and harder songs will improve your fitness even more!

Another vote for DDR over here. It's good fun (when you go on the higher levels) and gives you a good bit of exercise - even if it does eat up your coins.

Even though I hardly eat healthily and don't exercise more than the average, I'm actually underweight.

Just avoid regular visits to McDonald's and go for a run/quick mile walk 2 or 3 times a week. But the best way to get exercise is doing something really fun. I'm sure paintballing would be great exercise, but that's hardly something you could do regularly.

I walk about a mile a day, trip to work and I always go out when I have a day off, even if it's just to wander round town listening to music. I try and eat healthily, but fail miserably...having said that, I'm 74kg at 6'2.

When it's not freezing cold or wet I walk one of my dogs around the field, my fat-arse dog and me need more excercise. :P
I want to start Kick-Boxing, but it's a fairly long drive and it's on late on a school night, I'm hopefully starting drumming lessons soon.

I hate push-ups, damn my flabby belly...

Oh yeah and I don't eat crap.

Record how many key presses you make in one lot of up-time, and do half a press-up for each. Or run half a meter for each.

That'll get you fit in no time.

Seriously though, I do a martial art. Keeps me fit, although the only competition is myself, and loads of other people go

I rock-climb. It's a great way to work up a sweat since you use a lot of the muscles in your body.

I like to walk around town listening to music, especially at night in the summer.
Otherwise I just rush to school on my bike because I wake up 20 minutes before school starts >_>

Not sure on this (I'm definitely not a health expert), but does keeping cold for long periods of time help at all with losing weight? I mean, the body must have some way of keeping itself warm; maybe burning fat for heat. I've noticed that, no matter how much food I eat (and I eat a HELL of a lot), I never get grossly overweight. In fact, many people think I'm underweight. I've got an obvious layer of fat on my belly, but I don't ever feel cold unless it's under 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius).

I'm 6feet 4, with long arms. Anywhere I try to do pull ups I head but the ceiling. That's not a joke either.
Tried doing it holding my legs in but that just led to horrific cramps in my calves. Hilarious for everyone but me. Nor am I willing to pay to use a Gym.

My metabolism is good enough to keep me from being a giant fatass, but not good enough to make me skinny.

That sums me up.

weeeell in that case... I might suggest pushups for upper body work, doesn't help biceps but it is good for your chest and back.

Cross Country...

I try to at least put in 10km(~6.2 miles) of running a week...Nothing is wrong with loving food mabey a little to much...I have to say I do also...*Drools about his sick love for anything pasta*...But I try to eat healthly...

I don't do soy or tofu anything *hurling emotion*...But i love me some fruits...keep your vitamin levels up and chocolate and bag sugar levels down...and your sure to lose something...And if you have to have something sugar like...

Grab something that does not have high frutose corn syrup...As much as people blast and moan about how healty sweets suck...They are just brain washed to thinking that the same thing applies that applies to Burgers...McDonalds vs A burger you make yourself...Greese does not mean flavor...

Oh Bravo, I run about 5 miles week and then there's wrestling practice.

I stopped eating so damn much. No joke. Aside from that, weights, running, calisthenics, physical employment, and good ol' pugilism. Don't forget the DDR! Gyms are bunk. You can usually buy equipment you need for less than X months membership at some Gym.

Woah! Your kinda getting me down man, blast some music and spazz out for an hour or so.

If you want to start an exercise regime then I would suggest take it easy, do whatever is comfortable and don't push yourself too hard to begin with eventually your fitness level will rise and before you know it you'll be a new man. The other alternative is to go and get yourself some of that new 'fitness in a bag stuff'!

Personally I ride my bicycle everywhere I go or even walk where many people would take a car or a bus but then again other people call me crazy or mad or loony or something along those lines.

I've tried some of that stuff out myself but it pretty much does nothing for me or I find it so boring I'd rather slice off my pinky than do them. Pretty much hate all sports since I lacked any interest with any sort of competition. Tried the whole martial arts when I was younger and pretty much sucked at it even with my best efforts. And lastly I will never ever play that damn DDR game, sorry but I just can't stand that game. So far the only thing I actually like is walking but it doesn't seem to do me any good.

I do very little exercise apart from some tennis every week and eat fairly badly. I *look* like I'm in pretty good shape at about 82kg and 6'1. However, in reality I am very unfit and severly lacking in any kind of muscular definition.

This leads me to conclude that at any moment my waistline is going to explode.

Ramen and DDR. The epitome of geek and it works. An hour a night and all the ramen i could stomach, lost 30 pounds in 2 months.

If that's true, that's actually impressive. I'm a skinny rail right now, but I'll have to remember this when age kicks in and I start swelling with wisdom.

I await that day also...Being 6'3 and weighing 145lbs or 10.35 stones for you english people I feel incredibly skinny...

Yeah, Ramen and DDR works. When you eat a lot of the same, your body starts rejecting some of the calories get. I started again recently but I'm taking multivitamins and drinking a glass of grapefruit juice in the morning. Already started losing some weight.

Muay Thai and Parkour, if the weather treats me right.

I can't do regular gym excersize, I have worse ADHD than a coked up hummingbird.

I've had decent results with this three times a week: http://newbie-fitness.blogspot.com/2007/01/stripped-5x5.html

I also try to swim anywhere from a mile to 2500 yards on off days if I'm not busy, which usually means once or twice a week these days.
