Well, this has absolutely nothing to do with the other comics, but it's far too late for me to use it for what I had originally intended (stupid overheating computer, deciding to crash at a pivotal moment *shakes fist*), so I'll just post it here.

I'll say what i said in the other thread, it's the Universes way of informing you that i cannot be stopped so easily.

Besides, i was covertly working for good the entire time! Due to my actions, both the crabs and the stormtroopette were recovered. The only deaths were that of hundreds of redshirts, and nothing of value was lost.

Except several tank companies, titans, Switzerland, etc, the list goes on.

Gentlemen, I think we have now ascertained what this thread is now about. But I have to say, this thread has been derailed so much while still remaining on topic.

These are great, mate. Good job!
Though I might suggest, you need a tall, silent goth bloke in there. Possibly with a gas mask. Labyrinth agrees.
After all, I did once work for Cobra.

Oh right... This thing.
I'll be honest, I forgot about the comic completely this week due to Christmas related activities, buying presents for people and pretending I believe in god in front of my frail christian grandmother.

Also I have procured Fallout 3 and Farcry 2 quite recently. So...

Expect the next batch of comics some time after new years.

But that's not entirely fair... I'll leave the thread with a parting gift.

Yes.

There's another user here named Jamanticus.

He get's first dibs on anything fractal.

But if he doesn't want it, then by all means, use away.

Jamanticus eh. I don't think we will be seeing him for a while. Let's just say he took a little trip. I took care of him. I don't think he will mind. hehehe.

Actually, I believe the correct laughter for this situation is either "Nyehehehehe", "Bwahahahaha" or the retro Pokemon "Fufufufufufu".

Huh... Did you edit that in or was that just me being rather closed minded about what I read and missing it?

Any preferences for being good/evil?

If you keep doing this, I'd recommend downloading and learning to use Photoshop. I just got it, and it's So much better than MS paint. It'd probably be faster too. A small problem would be that the first couple times I tried to download it, it was a virus. But if you wanted me to, I could link to the good torrent I found.

I dunno... I sort of like the fact that I can manage it in paint. If I did it in Photoshop I get the feeling that it would be seen as pretty mediocre drawing (Not saying that it isn't already, but people are being distracted by the fact that it's done with paint)

Hit me up with the link anyway, though I'm not sure if I've got all the right programs on my pc to handle torrents. We'll find out.
Oh, and I have vista, so it's quite possible that photoshop won't work.

That's piracy good sir :).

If you want to try Adobe Photoshop then by all means download it here. 30 day free trial.

And of course it's better and faster than MS Paint, for some reason professionals in digital designing use it you know.

That's what I've been saying! Though I've been careful to avoid mentioning software piracy. I was kind of hoping he'd get the idea on his own.

No, actually your art would be pretty good for an amateur with Photoshop. Trust me on this one--the only difference is that with Paint it's astounding.

It will work on Vista, that's important to know I guess.

The very least Photoshop would do is get rid of that damn pixilation on the lines. That alone would be worth it. Just don't tell us if you pirated it or bought it, keeps us safer that way.

It might be useful for me to get it then. I have some odd thing called photostudio, the most it can do in terms of depixelating things would be this.

The version being treated to the shoddy "make it look less pixelated" button being on the right, all it's really done is blurred it slightly.

I'm typing from a computer which for some odd reason had defaulted to 256-colour graphics. Let's just say that it causes that picture to look very strange. Also, there's a reason why they haven't used 256-colour graphics for years.

I've changed it to 32-bit colour again - until I tried it, I thought that this monitor with its 640x480 resolution maximum was limited to 8-bit colour. Also, there's a reason why I'm using a monitor with a 640x480 resolution maximum.

I'm intrigued now. What did it look like at 256?

Hmmm. Yeah, that does just look blurred. It doesn't help that the characters are drawn fairly small, something I hadn't noticed before.

I'll try to hunt up something that I've done in Photoshop so I can show you the difference...might take a while to find something suitable, though.

hey Iron Ninja, I did a little searching, and I found a (much) cheaper alternative to a wacom tablet if your interested in getting one. Its a mouse pad/graphics tablet that works similar to a wacom tablet. it's at http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/5ede/

Yeah, as awesome as it is, I don't think The Iron Pirate suits you. Do whatever. And if I'd known about the free trial, I would have just gotten that. Now that I've verified it's usefulness, I'll be buying it anyway.
