Ultrajoe:

Iceman23:
With all of these Ultra Joe pictures on this thread I'm beginning to wonder if someone is going to draw a picture of The Evil Joe in all of his riddle distributing evilness.

Well, there goes the surprise of what my commission was, anyway.

However still PM me if you're interested, artists, as i have some specifications.

Oh... whoops, sorry for killing the surprise on that one Joe, I hadn't considered that that was what your commission was.

Well I'm back from my holiday, where I got horribly sunburnt daring expedition into uncharted territory, where I fought foul monsters previously unknown to science in underground lava tunnels. So I can get started on the next comic.
Or rather I will in a day or two, as I have a lovely combination of sleep deprivation and sunstroke that I need to fix first.

Also, can somebody do a print screen of Anarchemitis's Joe picture and post it for me?
For reasons unknown to me, I cannot see it, no matter what I do.

That didn't work for me yesterday, but now it does... How odd...

Labyrinth:
I can't either and it's annoying as hell.

Can ya see it now too?
Otherwise I'll do the whole print-screen mumbo jumbo stuff and put it up here, but it takes a while with my shitty internet, so I'd rather check if I actually need to do that first.

Indigo_Dingo:
How on earth can you resume the comic if you still haven't rescued Gerald?

I would think the fact that I'm not running around in a nervous panic, clutching a hankercheif and sobbing all over everyone would be proof enough that I do have Gerald back, and in fact never lost him.

And if you want more visual sort of proof; look there on the shoulder, see the red thing?
Well that's Gerald.

Or its your attempt to trick us into letting our gaurd down so you can rescue him... very poor thought.

Then why does he look boiled?

Gerald is special. He's been through a lot, so he's tough because he needs to be. He's had his heart broken and has learnt to be harder. I guess he looks boiled and isn't blue simply because he is so...image

Definitely this.

Also he's a Red Rock Crab, Which I can assure you is aptly named.
Well actually he's a Shoulder crab, which is a sub-species of the red rock crab, hence only six legs.

Root, I shouldn't have to say this, but it is not advisable for you to click on that link, do not be tempted.

If you want to click on something click on the one below, the result will be much less traumatising.

Well, he's so hard-boiled, he cooks his grenades in COD before he throws them back. That is how hardcore he is.

Well, I still feel compelled to keep this thread alive. I have an obligation to, after FeNinja bolstered my ego.

A tiny car made of cheese knocks bumps into the thread. Whoopsie!

This has been bugging me since you posted it. I know I've seen that comic before, but I can't for the life of me remember where. Since I can't remember, would you mind telling me what it's from?

All I know is that there are half a ton of these CSI: Miami strips. I just google imaged it and edited it, but I know there are many more.

Seriously, get on this Feninja. Seriously, that was the first time I've called you that. If you don't want me to do it forever, get a comic up. Please?

Geez, I'm only about quarter way through it now.
I was away for a few weeks, and my mouse steadyhandedness seems to have taken a blow from not using it for so long.

I could finish it at a point that says "To be continued" and make it a four part thing, since it's going to be a fairly long comic if I do the whole thing at once.

Whoa? There's another comic artist on these forums?
And we're allowed to put our comics up on here?

Also, is that a second pair of sunglasses that guy is taking off/putting on?
if it is then that has serious style.

Nah, as long as you're working on it. I thought you just sorta ditched it. Thanks Iron Ninja.

EDIT: Archemetis, I think that's representing the movement. It's serious style either way though, I used to love that show.

Oh geez. Way to put the pressure on me by necroing Mr Dingo.
Uh... By rough estimate I'd say I'm about a day or two away from completion of the next strip.
I chose a very bad plot for this particular one, so I've been hard pressed to get motivated enough to keep drawing it. Still, almost finished, and then I can get back on to doing strips that won't take 50+ days.

Hurry up!

Alright, here goes nothing.

Now that's over with, it's hurried explanation time.

I'm none to happy with this one. A lot of that might well be due to the extreme lateness of it, but it's also my opinion that this strip can't possibly have been worth said wait. I'm willing to be surprised and proven wrong, but I'm not expecting it.

It's very much a storyline set up sort of strip, I figured no matter what I did at this point, the general response could quite likely be along the lines of "We waited 50+ days for this?" So it seemed a good time as any to set a proper plot point in place for once.
The invasion thing is an eventual plot development though, so Larry and Iron Ninja wont be neck deep in a sea of demons in the next strip, but at least it gives me some kind of eventual thing to aim them at, rather than having them travelling around in a cart for no good reason.
Anarchemitis might like to note that this does not mean I'm abandoning him as a villain, he's still very much a part of the story, and will certainly re-appear.
And since people love guessing these things, I'll reveal who the cameos are in...

Now that I've gotten this strip out of the way I can hopefully get back to making them more regularly.
Though I'd hazard a guess and say that weekly comics is unlikely, I've found that when I set a deadline for something, it just takes me longer for some reason. So the next comic will come when it will come, though I'll try my darnedest not to take quite as long this time.

Oh, and special thanks to Jamanticus for being the person I tested the badness/goodness of the comic on prior to posting.

It may have taken forever, but it was definitely worth wait. I couldn't stop laughing the entire time I was reading it.

A very enjoyable read, and as always, I can't wait for the next one.

Bravo! A great comic. But I have to ask:
A) What happened to the town?
B) What happened to the guy who was called a magician?
C) What happened to the king?
D) This is going to be the definite story line, right, because this is turning tinto a Metal Gear Solid-esque head scratcher.
Amazing comic, and I can't wait for the next one. Well, I can, but I won't enjoy it. Thats not 100% true either, you know what? It depends. Let me try again:
I may not like waiting for your amazing comic.

Still waiting for my cameo which will never come.

:p

I guessed that was Ares Tyr by faaaar.

I've also noticed the symbol of 4chan on the moon of the demon world.

Basically, I say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! It's really good, I have seen better (like Yahtzee Takes On The World, for example), but with a bit more work this could definitely rival those. Very good, well done.

Of course, what would make them even better is referencing me at some point. Yes, I have a big ego. Please don't hold it against me...

A) It's still there, but they went past it some time between the 4th and 5th comics.

B) I don't know, the google ads on the site that the "magician" was standing in for disappeared a short time after I posted that comic (Which I chalk up to coincidence rather than what I'm doing actually having any effect on the escapist as a whole)

C)He's also still around, just not in sight.

D) It has been a bit hard to follow, I'm not so good at coherent things, so a solid storyline is going to take a bit of work on my part. In any case, now that I've got this thing out of the way I can slow down a bit, I don't plan to have major plot developments every comic anymore.

Well he did sort of say "I am Ares Tyr." It's not that hard.

However many internets you really think 4chan is worth.

It's what would happen if a duck and an octopus coupled.
A Ducktopus.
A Doctorpus?
Huh.. I think I may have accidentally given Decoy Doctorpus a cameo.

I almost forgot about AINC(mind if I call it that?) for a little while, but it was worth the wait.

my feedback/comments:
-Probably the best comic yet
-As for the 50+ days it took; I hope the next won't take so long, but the comics lenth made up for it a bit(58 panels!).
-I would suggest that you make more frequent, but smaller updates to help break up the time between each comic.
-I'm amazed at how well you have integrated the cameo's into the story.
-The art isn't perfect, but it sure is better then anything I could draw(not really a complaint)
-I will definitly be looking foward to the next one, keep up the good work.
