Ironically, just after I posted in this thread, I found a group of quest-givers in the new Warcraft expansion that are a parody of peta. The Acronym is DETHA or something like that, but the quests are hilarious. They want you to collect ears from poachers, free trapped baby elephants, kill pearl-divers, and a few other things like that.

Here's the really funny part: if you happen to kill a non-agressive critter in their general area, you get a 3 minute de-buff which is something like "covered in blood" which basically means if any of the DETHA people see you while you are covered in caribu blood, they freak out on you and attack.

PETA are sort in the same group as Jack Thompson, on some level he means well, he wants to keep violent games out of the way of kids, most of us can agree with that, surely?

Then he goes and screws up his case by acting like a moron, using hyperbole and outright lies to support his case. I'm all for limits on gaming, age restrictions etc, but I don't want all gamers wiped off the face of the planet.

In the same vein, animals should not be submitted to unreasonable cruelty, but if its a rabbit or me getting viruses tested on, then sorry Flopsy, evolve some thumbs. Animals bred for food should be treated fairly until they're ready for the chop also.

However, we should not assault and murder people because they choose to have a Big Mac, or keep a pet hamster.

I hate those crazy hippies. I am glad to see a majority of people who took this poll basically agree with me.

I will put all my other views aside and just touch on this: My family has a rare genetic disorder (from which I was completely spared) which causes our males to go blind. My father is blind, and he'll die that way. Stem cell research and animal testing involving certain types of fish could (with decent men in office) cure his condition in his lifetime. What a miracle that would be.

Fuck PETA and fuck anyone who stands in the way of that happening.

This is my main beef about PeTA or any organization who says eatnig meat is wrong. We would not be here if we ddi hunt, killed, and ate other animals, and don't give me that we can live happy on nuts and veggies BS. We needed the pelts to keep warn and the energy from eating their bodies. If you areagainst eating meat then you are against nature, becaue it is there where we came from and animals we will always be.
