This isn't a "what's the best sport" thread - just a "what's your favorite" thread. Then maybe we can get an impartial indication as to which sport is liked by most people.

Mine? Rugby Union. My Grandfather was a Wallabie.

Well, I know it's not a classic sport, but I would say fencing, seeing as how it's the only sport I ever got good at.

It's hard to say, but my favourite to do is Judo, if that counts.

If combat sports & motor sports don't count, then my favourite to play is Football. I have absolutely no interest in watching it or the professional game, but it's good fun to play with your mates.

American Football to watch, Swimming and diving to play. I'm a beast in the water, yet surprisingly suck when it comes to "land speed."

I'm really fond of Golf and actually find it compelling to watch on TV.
I'm not well.

You should add martial arts to the list, because mine is Tae Kwon Doe.

Ditto, I swim like a beast but run like an overweight 6 year old.

Sports? What are sports?

*wiki search*

Ah, I see. Sports are those silly games, that the meatheads at my school play. I have no time for "sports", not when their are important games to play, and anime to watch.

Sports HA.

In all seriousness, sports aren't really my thing.

Basketball. I just love playing it. Everytime I'm in the presence of a basketball court and a ball I go all hyper and I need to play.

I really should have put 'martial arts' on the poll -- or at least, "the ways of the ninja" -- that would have appealed to a huge group of gamers

Or you could put "none of the above thanks, I want to be useful to society". If I had to pick a sport, I would go with Kendo.

Boxing. I like hitting people, what more can I say? But my favourite to watch has to be Rugby while at someone else's BBQ. After all, I'm one generic Kiwi bloke.

What governing body oversees competitive sex, and what kind of rules are there? I could see this falling into a similar style of scoring as couple ice skating in the Olympics.

I'm not sure. I believe a number of broadcast partners have viewer-judge systems with a 5-star rating attached. And comments. I'm not sure if there is an overarching body though.

Cycling!

Why is there an option for Golf but not cycling?! Golf isn't even a sport, you can do it in cordoroy trousers for crying out loud! Anything where the world's best walk around in Polo shirts and expensive trousers isn't a sport, it's a game and a horrifically dull one at that...

... In case you're wondering, the local golf club repeatedly tries to get cyclists barred from the land near and between their precious golf course. Most of which is dense woodland literally filled with trails built by local MTB and BMX riders.

I used to dominate all when i was younger at swimming. I have the unfair advantage of freakishly wide feet though.

Was alright at long distance running too. I play quite a bit of Badminton at the moment, which is good fun. Tennis but quicker. We also play a few variants, allowing to header, or volley the shuttle back, or the two/three shuttlecocks in the air at the same time version.

I like to watch football, but generally i'm pretty poor at actually playing it.
