Aussie Rules Footy.
Cricket (all forms) a very close second.

In fact the second test against the Kiwi's was rapped up today. We absolutely destroyed them :P

Big fan of watching American football, preferably NCAA. My dad was a sports bookie when I was growing up so I'm really familiar with pretty much everything in the States and don't mind watching any of it. I like playing football casually, but not on a regular team or anything. Basketball was one of the few sports I actually enjoyed playing.

Football(soccer, for you heretics)
Most fun to watch (aside from midget Muay Thai)
Most fun to play (unless you're the goalie)

Tennis, I hate playing it but while watching it's hilarious hearing all the erotic moans the players make, immature I know but sweating women groaning loudly at eachother as they knock balls at eachother makes for good watching.
EDIT: Please don't ban me for that if anyone thinks that deserves a ban PM me & i'll change it.

Football or Soccer to any Americans. It's a laugh to play with your friends and good to watch.

What governing body oversees competitive sex, and what kind of rules are there? I could see this falling into a similar style of scoring as couple ice skating in the Olympics.

I'm not sure. I believe a number of broadcast partners have viewer-judge systems with a 5-star rating attached. And comments. I'm not sure if there is an overarching body though.

I hear the waiting list for the YMCA classes is pretty long.

Hockey. Best sport, in my opinion. Critical team play, physical premise, exciting scoring.

Best of all, none of the dog-killing bullshit that goes on in other sports. I'm looking at you, Michael Vick (JOKE).

Hockey players are some of the best athletes you'll find anywhere, physically or otherwise.

Rugby League. Cricket is my second favourite. Not that Twenty20 nonsense designed for Yanks, but a proper 5-day Test.

I'm fond of tennis but I don't play it much. By the way would annoying loud-mouthed 11 year old kids in online FPSs count as a sport?

Tough choice, I don't play sports and I barely watch sports, but I do like sports. I'd love to play squash, it's like tennis on speed. Same with badminton, screw the official rules though, just whack that shuttle away at insane speeds. I would also love to learn how to fence, I'd love to study Jeet Kune Do and rugby and baseball look insanely fun as well.

American football, nothing beats a pick-up game on thanksgiving.

The crushing tackles, the miracle catches, the momentum swings, the epic come from behind 4th quarter game winning drive. It's America's favorite sport for a reason.

<------------And this dude in my avi. He's all that is great about the game.

My second choice would have to be Football (soccer).

Basketball is so hectic a fast passed but yet can be so elegant and strategic.
Plus it's incredibly fun to play.

But baseball is great just for it being on all the other sports off season.
