This but with improved grammar. :P Oh and if they do exist, I've got a nice ass-kicking for God AND the Devil. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 4269 Joined: 13 Aug 2008 | Well, I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in Hell. But if it did exist, rapists, murderers and child molesters should be a headin' there. And above hell there should be a "sort of bad people but don't really deserve hell" level. And it can have Pirates, Vikings, Ninja, video gamers and atheists in it. |

Paperboy Posts: 19 Joined: 30 Nov 2008 | I hate to inform everyone, but... We are ALL going to hell, faith in Christ or no. Every one "bad" thing you have done or thought of doing has bought you your own little corner of the Inferno. Lets face it, I'm not religious to any "faithful" extent, but even I know that we are god's unwanted flock... sorry for the metaphorical crap, but thats what most religion is anyway. |
Paperboy Posts: 19 Joined: 30 Nov 2008 | Forgiveness can be achieved by ANYONE that repents... thats bull. God IS NOT FORGIVING. He is the epitome of ORIGINAL sin. God created man in his image, thus, God is created in ours. God may have been good and benevolent ounce, but look at the vaster majority of people world wide. If God exists he is hardly goodly and he is not forgiving... |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 730 Joined: 2 Jun 2008 | well, I'm an athiest so I don't think any sin sends you to hell. I don't like theft however, I just don't really see why people need to do it. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1932 Joined: 9 Sep 2008 | I kicked a baby, once. I'm pretty sure I'll go to hell for that. I also sold beef products to devout hindus, remaining silent when they made the mistaken assumption that said products were pork. Though I don't think God has any problem with that. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1225 Joined: 13 Dec 2007 | Y'know, I've never really bought into the whole "You're a horrible bad evil person and you deserve untold suffering forever, but you can go to Heaven solely because Jesus is willing to bail out your sorry ass." thing. Does anyone else find that to be depressing? |
Paperboy Posts: 19 Joined: 30 Nov 2008 | Even then, don't worry about Hell. The "End of Days" is gonna be here in a few short years... and as for Hell, you can either writhe in agony until you no longer feel any sort of pain or anything else for that matter. Hell is not that bad, accept it as it is and you can Rule there... |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 772 Joined: 25 Jun 2008 | None, Hell is not a concept in the Jewish faith which makes me think it and Satan were added later by the Romans when trying to stretch Christianity over the melting pot of other faiths they used to help 'ease' others into at least accepting Roman rule. I think worst case scenario you are with god in the afterlife or you simply are not, though I'm not sure if thats how it works or not. Still I don't see what the Daughter of Loki has to do with any of this anyways. |

I've been wondering about that saying... Straight to hell.. Is there an other way? A beautiful tour of what you did not get into, like heaven? Maybe even visit purgatory to meet the people who were slightly less horrible than you? Is the tour guided by Jesus? God should open a travel agency.. On topic, though, it depends on God, or Allah, or whichever of the religions has it right (assuming any do and the real creator of this world isn't a 3-legged fish-plant who has tea with butterflies on a lovely Xquizelr-afternoon, or it's simply all poppycock and there is no afterlife. Wouldn't that be mighty dull though?). If said deity is an ass he(or she, or it, but for simplicity's sake, he) will tend to not forgive people and carry grudges and such. If he is as loving kind and benevolent as they claim he is he will probably be blinded by his own benevolence and let everyone into heaven. If he's just some kind of authority figure, punishing folks based on reasoning not unlike many people's fathers, then who knows, Manson could be up there, talking trash about Mother Teresa who is burning down in you-know-wheresville. Or not. Depends on how drunk dad, er, God is. Disclaimer: None of the above is meant to in any way offend anyone. Paperboy Posts: 19 Joined: 30 Nov 2008 | It's not horrible and depressing... it is what it is. God wasn't always the evil bastard that he is... we as a species have made him into what he is know. Thats right, HIM! Is there really any doubt? |
Press Junketeer Posts: 363 Joined: 9 Aug 2008 | sorry the concept of hell is ridiculous, as well as heaven, and god. so I'm not to worried about it :) The reason we shouldn't sin, and I mean things that are actually bad and not just deemed wrong by the public, is BECAUSE we shouldn't. Having the threat of hell hanging "over" our heads should not be a factor in why we shouldn't do bad things. |

Thanks for reminding me of something I learned from Age of Mythology. For those of you that don't know, Christians got the name for their underworld (Hell) from the Norse goddess of the underworld (Hel/Hell/Hela). |
Paperboy Posts: 19 Joined: 30 Nov 2008 | Heaven is a horrible place... A tyrannical god, angles that either hate you or could give less of a crap about you, and an eternity of ignorance and complacency. Also in my research the populace of Hell has had our backs more than that of heaven (I'm going to hell for that one). Think about it, what have angels done for humanity compared to what demons? Both offer inspiration, but angles limit that inspiration to their or God's "glory", demons offer up any information that you are willing to trade for. Understanding and knowledge seems to be the poison dagger in God's heart when it comes to humanity. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1870 Joined: 13 Oct 2008 | being rich/ sucsessfull is acctually forbidden in the bible. ps. the bible, and the god withinit is a lie! the idea that we have to "endure" this life before we got to "heaven" is rubbish and just cheepens the whole experience of life. now if you were god would want people to go out into the world and improoveit or sit around praying to you all the time? if i was god, people would all be sexy and would wear a lot more spandex... but thats just me. |

Doing such is the only true "heavenly bliss", even if you go to Hell at least you will have a name that holds meaning. Accept nothing as it is, either start the revolution or be ready to march beside or behind it... for it is coming... and I'm pretty sure its not breathing hard. |

Ever heard of the trinity? It's a christian concept that is infinitely complex despite sounding very simple. It basically states that Jesus is god, god is Jesus, and they are both something called the holy ghost (I still don't know what that is). so if Jesus says that you should turn the other cheek or, treat others as though they were yourself, you have to assume that god believes that as well. However should you be Jewish your absolutely correct, according to the Torah god is vengeful and cross, however, being a Christian a tend to follow the peaceful lesson Christ taught. |
