I don't have to say it. | |
I defy the word cool. It has no real meaning. Someone deemed cool by their friends could well be thought of (and probably is) as a complete douchebag to everybody else. Take a look at Cliffy B for a second, he probably thinks he's the master of cool. And he's one of the biggest douches I've ever seen.
I'm so cool I'm Ice Cold. Now shake it like a polaroid for me :-D
I'm as cool as a cucumber that's been put in the fridge but has been there too long and has gone bad and the water and stuff has gone to the surface making the cucumber trapped in a cool layer of mouldy cucumbery goodness, oh yeaaaahhhhhhhh...
I'm cool enough to know the difference between contractions and possessives.
I am a huge nerd. Nerds can be cool, but I am not that case
This whole thread is clearly the opposite of cool.
I have enough confidence to say that I am cool, and ignore those that say otherwise.
My god, you're so cool for being a smart-ass. *claps sarcastically (can you clap sarcastically?)*
My mom thinks I'm cool. | |
You are so right (I can) | |
My mom says I'm special, did she tell you?... I didn't think so edit: This is for you Pedro.
It is trivial and the word 'cool' is over-rated, but it is not appropriate to call yourself 'cool' - you have to wait for others to do so, although not let on that you're hoping that... as that desperation would be deeply uncool. Does that help?
Well, I'm not hot, does that mean I'm cool? Lukewarm? Thermally deficient?
I'm proud to say that I'm not 'cool' I despise everything that is attributed to 'cool'. When I used to be at school there was the 'cool crew' but I just found them incredibly cliched, it was as if they had watched one too many American teen comedies and were trying to imitate them (I'm from England by the way). I was just happy doing my own thing with my friends. It's the same reason that I don't follow fashion trends. I apologise in advance for the horrific stereotype but I don't see why I should change what I wear because a gay man in Paris thinks that it is the 'in' thing this Winter. I buy clothes with the intention of wearing them for a couple of years. I live with a girl who is very fashion and trend conscious, she has recently had to apply to the bank for an extended student account with a huge overdraft just to afford her purchases of 'must have' items.
The only thing more pathetic than an abject conformist is a fashionable nonconformist. :P
Nah, I'm a huge dork. | |
ahem from the simpsons from the book of season seven chapter Homerpalooza: Homer: So, I realized that being with my family is more important than being cool.
Nice start!/sarcasm On-topic: I am cool as in I won't freak out about anything, I'm not cool in like a social way(?) or something.
1) Someone imitates others: uncool So 3 is cool because 1 believes 3 is cool. But 1 is uncool. Conclusion: There is no 'cool'.
Ayn Rand? Really? Anyhow, I've read more than enough scholary literature examining the phenomenon of "cool" to tell you that as soon as you analyze something's coolness, it is no longer cool. Additionally, you cannot say that you are cool; that must be determined by consensus.
I can't believe nobody posted pics of Mister Cool Ice yet :D And yes, I'm cool and when I say "cool" I mean the chicks-say-"wow, you're cool" cool. :D
I don't say that I'm cool, because then I have a bunch of douchebags who think they are cool jump all over me for it.
No, JMeganSnow. :D It was her line, yes.
Good god, who are these scholars and why hasn't someone bestowed a much-needed smack to their idiot faces?
After reading the word "cool" repeatedly, I have realized... cool is a pretty weird word.
'cool'? Just an illusion! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9nXEXWlQ5Q Good morning blues speaks the inconvenient truth.
I'd acknowledge the coolness of that post if I weren't so damn cool.
Anyone can be cool, depends on the observers definition of cool. The Fonz is seen as cool by some not by others (including me). Mr Tramp sounds like my kind of cool, doing his own thing & being happy doing it. People who try to be cool always fail, it's like the whole fashion thing, to me you only follow fashion if you aint got no style.
The nerdiness of my to go overboard about anything I like has made me uncool... so why care I don't have to hang out with people who make me wish I was dead.
Woah there fella! | |
Thanks but I never said I hung out with those people. They drove me mad back then (in class) and they would now, thank god for the internet. But thanks anyway.
My mom says I'm cool | |
The title of the thread should read "Do you think you're cool?" Correct grammar and spelling are always cool.
| (Pages: 1, 2) | |
I don't really say I am, and I definitely don't say I'm not.
Is cool over-rated or is it natural?
I have friends that people would consider cool.
How many people think that the WORD is over-rated?
How people just don't care?
