Now i dont know about you, but as soon as i get online for the first time on any given day i have a certain 'ritual' to which i attend.

I visit a number of websites:

- Firstly i visit a couple Hockey Websites to see whats happened overnight (UK, so matches are about 3/4 in the morning).

- I then check facebook (making sure to switch myself to 'online', the 'talk to me' button)

- I check my fantasy hockey team (senior league hockey).

- I check my profile on the escapist.

- I check youtube for new stuff that i've subscribed to.

- I check facebook again, just to see if my 'being online' has yielded anything. Often not.

- And lastly, i check a number of blogs (Gaming, Film and Hockey alike) to see if there is new stuff up.

Now, its only when i have done this that i can really settle into the days 'surfing', is it just me that has his 'go-to' websites that you just have to check everyday to make sure that you miss nothing?

What are your go-to websites, what rituals do you have?

I start with ESPN.com, then read the Straight Dope, Slate, Escapist, and GameFAQs Poll of the Day board. Beyond that I'll either surf around or start gaming.

Does anyone else do this thing where when they get onto the escapist, they go to videos, and just scroll through them. Even though you roughly know when new stuff comes out, thus you know there will be nothing new... but you still do it?

(argh, sentence. so. disjointed.)

Here, a Friends Forum, XKCD, Penny Arcade, VG Cats, Graphjam, Failblog, The Inquirer, BBC Sport.

I occasionally go to Ctrl Alt Delete, but thats mostly to laugh at it, not with it.

Like constantly checking the fridge, even though you know nothings there. Yeah, I occasionally do it to.

Anyway, here are my top sites, Escapist, ThinkGeek, VG Cats, xkcd, Anivide, CineMassacre, That Guy With The Glasses, YouTube, True Swords, J!NX, and Game Trailers, but I spent most of my time on these forums.

Edit: And by most, I mean nearly all, as there is almost always a tab to these forums open, and I check it regularly.
