Press Junketeer Posts: 366 Joined: 14 May 2008 | I lurked here for months before making an account. I still lurk quite frequently. And, as you can see, it does not hurt the eyes to read my posts. Anybody willing to make the jump as to why this is? Anybody? |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2735 Joined: 5 Aug 2008 | OP mistakes aside, only 3 animes have really freaked me out: Neon Genesis Evangelion (which I hate, by the way): The last two episodes. Need I say more? Guyver: What freaked me out was, discovering that I'm not totaly desensitized to violence and brutality... yet. FLCL (which I love, by the way): The first time I watched it, I thought I was on a drug trip (later I realized that the creators were probably on drug trips). Edit: I wonder what it would be like to watch FLCL on a drug trip... further investigation is required. |

One example is when he used geass on himself to trick a psycho. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It would probably be the very first episodes and especially the twist after he finds a needle in his food. And last but not least, Gilgamesh. The story leads up to that which NOBODY could predict. Like who was responsible for the taint that happened. |

That weird one I accidentally saw when I was about 5... I'd like to know the name of that since it freaked me out royally. It might have helped get me into anime too. Franky getting his balls grabbed in One Piece. It was really uncomfortable and weird but also bloody hilarious. |

He already did. Also, dude, don't make threads within your first 50-100 posts. Like needausername said, lurk more. Meaning read what other people write and copy their styles. |

Anyways, I don't really understand the question, but it has something to do with anime, and my avatar is pretty freaky, I guess. |

Awesome in English though because they actually North Americanize all the pop culture references. I just watched the first episode of Soul Eater yesterday and was stunned at the shear Tim Burton meets Bleach meets Bandit King Jing meets Full Metal Alchemist. It was very japanese but at the same time very awesome. |

*shudder* That was some serious Nightmare fuel that was, and the fact that the Anime just... ENDS like that was really creepy. |

Definitely. I guess they originally planned to have multiple seasons and thats why they let it end that way, but the deal fell through or something. The manga is still going strong though, and it is quite a ways ahead of where the anime left off. |

The worst thing that ive ever felt while watching an anime was caused by Eva, when shinji is forced to destroy eva unit3 while one of his friends was inside it. Shinji thought he kille dthe kid :S
