Maybe Kaze no Stigma even though I found the cousin-love subplot to be disturbing (Kazuma and Ayano are cousins if they left that out in the dub). As for some others: Death Note pretty much exhaused the plot line I don't think another go-through would be very interesting. Gundam Wing? Just watch Seed or 00, there isn't a huge difference. |

Although, a spin-off showing how the rest of the Bebop crew is doing would be ok. |

I was just about to say that. It'd be nice wouldn't it. Bring back an oldie :) |

Blasphemy! No Gundam series is better than Wing, I will take that belief to the grave!
The thing with air gear and other anime like it (tenjho tenge for example) is that they are at the mercy of the japanese viewing public. If they do not get enough people watching it then they cancel it after 24 odd episodes. And when that happens i think it is a crime to even sell the DVDs of it. I mean srsly why would anyone buy the DVDs of tenjho tenge if they knew it had no finite ending to it? they would just read the manga if the story is interesting and they like manga. It is the same affair with Gantz and loads of other anime. I watched air gear and I think that the anime did not have a absolute ending, but it could give more closure than most 'cancelled' ones. I don't know what it is about Oh great!s work that doesn't seem to translate over to anime very well. I think we really should get a petition started tbh, because they do work for manga series, so why not anime too? An example of this can be zombie powder. Shonen Jump considered Tite Kubo's manga to be too similar to another of their manga, and refused to print it in their magazine. This, coupled with the severe lack of fan mail (the thing which helps writers decide whether or not to keep going with what they are doing)and somewhat mediocre reviews ended with kubo leaving it unfinished, which is a damn shame. But anyway, answering the question, the anime that should be brought back is tenjho tenge, but it is so graphically violent and full of rape that it would probably never see the light of day on japanese television surely. |

HOLY MOTHER OF SPOILERS BATMAN!!!! lol but seriously I have seen it but others might not have you know? maybe keep it more cryptic next time. Cowboy Bebop definitely did end perfectly. BTW i have the movie but have not seen it yet. is it a retelling of a story arc or is it something different entirely? |

I liked Wing, and I will always remember it as the series that introduced me to Gundam. But now that I own pretty much every Gundam series, Wing would be pretty far down the list if I were to sort from favorite to least.
No! I can't help but feel that any Cowboy Bebop additions would only ruin the series. I would like to see the Berserk anime continue. But if it were to continue the manga's storyline as it should, it would never be able to air on tv and any DVDs would likely be rated R or even NC-17, which would probably hurt sales. EDIT:
The movie is treated basically as one of the standard bounty episodes, but spread out over 2 hours. No mention of Julia or Vicious or anything. |

8th MS Team, original Mobile Suit Gundam, and I've heard a lot of good things about Zeta Gundam, Stardust Memories, and War in the Pocket. |

Zeta rocks dude. CCA is my fav, followed by Zeta, then MSG and so on. UC Gundam is definitely the best, but I really like 00 so far. |

They make a new Gundam series like every five minutes or something.
Ongoing at the moment. Rebuild of Evangelion.
Does it bollocks. They couldn't even do two seasons right, and the whole bleeding stump of a badly paced ending got tied off. |

I too would love to see more Trigun, however it did sorta finish. |

I haven't watched 00 Gundam, nor have I watched Zeta. I'm a little put off by Zeta due to the whole expanding newtypes thing. Not a big fan of newtypes. So far my favorite series have been 8th MS Team and that one about the Zeon experimental weapons, the one in 3D. I can't even vaguely remember its name right now though. I loved the tank-zaku thing though. |

Hence why I specified that it was done well! The series was way to short for my liking, and there was so much more that could be done with the characters. And while I admit the end of the series was pretty much perfect, the film that followed was still great. :P |

Hehe yeah just a little dirty, Air gear more so, but still both are fun, simple, and somewhat mindless entertainment, with plenty of growing room |

MS Igloo, which is great, and the 2nd one is coming soon. 00 is another alternate timeline, but its pretty good, some really great Gundam designs.
Even if it was done well, I wouldn't want it. The only way to do it would be to have it before the first series where everyone is still doing their own thing, or after when there is no Spike, Ed, or Ein. Either one ruins one of the key aspects of the series, which is the relationships between the whole crew. The film also took place some time during the series, but there isn't enough room in that time period to make a whole new series. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 3001 Joined: 9 Sep 2008 | Yu Yu Hakusho (sp?) I loved that so much... Digimon...but not crap like Data Squad...even season 4 was watchable...3 still remains my favorite season of any show ever. and probably some other stuff...i gotta think. |
Infamous Scribbler Posts: 508 Joined: 9 Jul 2008 | Well it only ended recently, so I'm not sure it counts, but D.Gray-man. I don't like manga much and the anime was awesome. Of course I might eventually take up reading the manga if my desperation grows great enough. |

I couldn't agree with you more, they set Air Gear up so much, basically saying "This will happen and be explained in season 2", and then BOOM end. |

Sorry but one thing I will not do is "Read the Manga" It just ruins the anime for me, I know things are better about them, but i don't care. I HATE spoilers, and I don't like being let down. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 70 Joined: 2 May 2008 | Oh...and Tenchi Muyo. As long as it didn't go the way of Tenchi in Tokyo. And only had Mihoshi without that other, forgettable space police gal. I could stand some more Tekkaman also. EDIT: Didn't see the folks above talking about Tenchi Muyo. My faith in otaku rose a little bit there. |

I want it back too, however, if you think about it, at the end of the first season they pretty much solved the greatest mystery in the galaxy, essentially meeting a God, and figuring out the reason for the ship being built. Anything else they could try to do with the plot just wouldn't compare. They kinda wrote themselves into a hole on that one. That said, grappler ships and casters are just too freakin' cool to let go so, If they do it very carefully, I would definitely watch a second season. |
Infamous Scribbler Posts: 557 Joined: 5 Feb 2008 | Oh, I almost forgot! Martian Successor Nadesico. Really, letting video games that are only available in Japan to pick up the story where you've left off is just asking for fans to count them out as discontinuity. Yeah, the movie made the whole space-opera parody go dark and edgy on us but there's no reason we can't roll with that, even though a retcon is preferred. In other words, I'd just like the video games to be turned into a TV series because I can't read a whole lot of Japanese. :( |

^^ That, and a scond season of Cowboy Bebop (either prequel, with only Spike and Jet, or sequel, without spike, or new characters in the same universe... or just somehow have them slot in before the finalle but after everyone joins, kinda like the movie did.) |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2295 Joined: 19 May 2008 | Make more Universal Century Gundam shows like 08th MS Team. THAT is how Gundam Should be done and done right. If I could see more war stories like that from a Gundam series then I am satisfied. 08th MS is the BEST Gundam hands down. |
