Berserk goddammit. One of the best anime and it only covers the intro of the manga, even then it leaves half the characters and backstory out.
Star Ocean II. They only covered half the game. It just gets really interesting then they call it quits.
Kenichi. Sure it was a mindless watch but it was amusing and its not like it really needs to follow a manga.
Devilman (Lady) Devilman was an amazing manga yet they only did 3 OVAs of it and Devilman Lady they totally butchered.
Also just for shits and giggles some really old school anime like Mad Bull 34, Angel Cop, Record of Lodoss War, Legend of the 4 Kings.
Oh for those who want more Evangelion they are rereleasing the series as 6 movies. And its shit.
Now if you will excuse me I have to get back to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai.

And thanks for correcting the name i never would have noticed.

Actually, I didn't notice you had a Homunculus missing from the anime... which one was it?

Um right let me go through them for a second they had

Sloth
Greed
envy
Lust
Wrath
Gluttony
Pride

I don't think it will happen, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at a 3rd season of Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex.

And although this is drifting in focus slightly, even if it were really bad, I think I'd get a kick out of watching an american remake of Battle Royale...

I've only ever liked one anime and that's Dragonball Z so I vote that. I loved that show.

Cowboy Bebop (they managed to get a film out after the Tv series ended so I can't see why they couldn't do something else with it)

Ghost In The Shell (uh difficult this one, they are making a remake of GITS The Original Movie, using modern day animation techniques. The thing is I would rather see some new GITS rather than a remake of the original.)

Dragon Ball Z got a new movie, 36 mins long, but it got one, so it cant be counted as a DEAD anime, Dead anime is an anime that hasnt gotten anything for at least 5 or 10 years

Father is replaced by

in the anime, and Pride and Wrath are switched in the anime as well.

However, because of the whole 'replacement Father', and what happens to that character in the anime, I'm wondering how they want to continue the anime... especially after Conqueror of Shamballa.

Someone's a little pedantic. I meant the cartoon series, the movies are terrible.

The only problem is you are more likly to get get the "Ikkitousen" effect instead of quality shows.
For all those who dont know the first season of Ikkitousen was actually rather good. Yes it had alot of fan service but it did the job. Too well infact.
They then released a second season. Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny which is basically a cash cow as it has far less story and alot more fanservice. Then to top that off they released 6 5 minute specials after wards that took place in a hot pools and was just about nudity and lesbianism.
Then they just decided to released a 3rd season without any sort of story at all. I only watched a few episodes into the new season before I got tired of it but there is no real story. The whole plot seems to be about various female characters lesbian crushes on most of the other female characters and their various adventures trying to munch some rug, with much fan service along the way.

Now although you miss these anime that you loved do you really think its worth the risk of them turning your beloved series into nothing more than panty shots and nose bleeds?

BERSERK! Well, the anime has never been really popular, but the manga is the most epic thing I have ever read! The game is alright (the Dreamcast one). It's pretty much the only manga I still keep up with! :p

Ouran High School Host Club. It was only 26 episodes and each one of them was random and fun to watch. The manga still continues, but i wish the anime did as well.

Oh yes, Berserk. I heartily agree to everything you just said, intergral. Now please have my babies. Okay okay, just kidding.
If I am to nominate one, it would be Full Metal Panic. When I first heard of it, I thought it sounded like something related to Full Metal Alchemist, which I had just seen. Quite logical to make the assumption, one might think. I know I did. Anywhooo... so I watched it unfurl into YAMS (yet another mecha series), but something kept my interest burning. It was not until the second season that I realized what it was that was so utterly captivating and, to say the least, beautiful. I had to watch the first season again, and that's when I had my epiphany.

And yeah, Ouran is pure awesomeness.

Full Metal Alchemist, on a side note, is one of the few anime series that ended really good, with a movie no less. Movies rarely have good endings to the anime series they are connected to. That's why I'm glad to see it end with dignity, 'cause it was such an extremely awesome anime.

PS: I just noticed Anonymous had nominated Berserk also. Kudos. And Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (Kai) is one unbeatable anime. Truly unique. Though I actually didn't get my nickname from it (as everyone and their dog are led to believe... by whom they are led I do not know... but some day I will root it out and find that entity), I would not be ashamed if I did.

I'd like to see more Appleseed. That's one of my favorite shows period, let alone just in the anime genre. It's animation is so cool and the story is really interesting.

I'd also like to see more Robotec. The Shadow Chronicles movie proved they can make current gen Robotec that measures up to todays anime standards. Why not continue one of the longest anime series ever?

There should a return of Zoids. As long as it's not Chaotic Century. I would not mind if Monster Rancher came back on for a little while. It combined Pokemon and Digimon pretty well.

Witch Hunter Robin.

I could go for more of that. Especially if the music is of similar quality as in the original.

Anyone remember "Bana (Shell)?" I love that song.

I'm glad somebody else agrees with me! (you too, anonymouse) Most of my friends haven't even heard of Berserk, let alone know how epic it is!

Also, if we did have kids, they would be named Ness and Samus...lol! :p

I've heard of Berserk, but I prefer Claymore. Yeah, Berserk is still good, but I think Claymore is better. Something about the world is more interesting.

kaze no stigma

fullmetal panic (and not something like the "intermission series fumoffu")
ghost hunt
hellsing
lucky star
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Rental Magica
Shakugan no Shana
Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE

Great list but you forgot FLCL, Outlaw Star, and Golden Boy. But I definitely agree with Lucky Star and Black Lagoon

Fuck yes forgot about Ouran. Also since I remember it from my childhood, I really wanna see more zoids episodes set in New Century Zero where they are competitive zoid battles. All the other zoids series sucked IMO

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. They need to make Solid State Society into a proper 3rd Gig. It would've made a good series.
