Sorry about (no text)...

What kind of stuff do you have around your computer desk? Pictures would be nice too. I can't take a picture but I always have my Ocarina, camera, Harmonica, notebook and other foodstuffs and plates. Also pens, gameboy games, a DS cover, a DVD Monthly magazine, a butter lid, my half-finished review of Voodoo Vince, a banana skin, a USB wire for my MP4, a floppy disk and a glove. And on the floor there is a drum made entirely out of Goat.

Maybe we could have a competition to see who has the messiest desk... or the weirdest thing on their desk.

EDIT: Oh yes I forgot, on the DVD cabinet next to my desk I have a dried Pirahna called Chris, a mushroom money box, two Daleks, and a plastic monk where you press down his head and a little penis comes out of his robe. =3

EDIT: I have pictures of my Detritus, look for 'em.

Hmm, lets take a look around.

Well firstly in the centre I have my 4 piled up cases of games, they must be around 50~ by now, this includes old Playstation games all the way up to the PC.
On top of those cases however I have a army of plushies, it's quite amusing really since they're eyes glow in the dark and when I go to bed I always feel like they're watching me, then on a lower shelf case there's this drawer full of rocks and fossils that I used to collect..

Oh and I just found out some sort of a really old key between the second and third case, problem is, I have no idea where it's from.
Treasure hunt anyone?

Well on top of my desk I have; one bottle of water, my mobile phone, a guitar tuner and about 15 plectrums.

Under and around the desk I've got my old 10 watt bass amp, my bible, a USB Bluetooth adaptor for my PC, a battery for my bass guitar and a shit ton of unfinished or unstarted Uni work.

I've got my printer, two empty glasses, numerous pens and pencils, a plate with a sandwich, my mobile, my noticeboard and the inkboard, my uni work, money, my wallet, my passport, a few notebooks, a few CD's and a pack of cards...
It's a pretty large desk, and I've still managed to clutter it with too much crap...

Uhh, three or so games cases, a novelty Peter Kay mousemat, a bottle of water and a tub with some random stuff in it. It always feels very cluttered..
Oh yeah, I have a Terry Pratchett book 'Making Money' on the mousemat.

You know what... I had to ask myself this, but it is actually quite small, just I'm good at packing alot into a small area.

Edit: Some of those items ARE part of my desk, I just pile them high to get better room.

Animal/creature plushies.

This was an old tradition started by me and my cousin, we've been giving each other plushies for our birthdays, since she's a female I only get these cuuuuute animal plushies which are awesome for personal viewing, but once my jock buddies from rugby practice decide to come over to my house they always make fun of me!

>:| <-- angry smiley face.

My favourite one is this big eyed brown owl which I like to call Willy.

I just moved and started setting up my room, so my desk is for the moment thankfully clear of detritus and clutter. Monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, a lamp, and my Diablo Battlechest, Titan Quest Gold, Fallout 3 Collector's Lunchbox, Neverwinter Nights Diamond, the a Legend - Hand of God disc from a manager at GameStop. It's wonderfully tidy, for the moment, but I doubt that'll last...

It just sort of moves up and down the pole as you play your music. Nothing all that special.

My desk and my shelves can't be mutually exclusive, since everything on both is within arm's reach. Also, two drawers at the desk level, as well.

Although it's a mess, I'm now going to resolve to cleaning it. Until that's done, though, I'll keep it like this.

Left to right, starting at desk and working up.
Router, chapstick, two Dr. Pepper containers (one empty can, half-empty bottle), one laptop (headphones currently plugged in, but not worn), mouse and mousepad, and sprite bottle in the background.

First shelf,
Front Mission, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Meteos, Pokemon Diamond, The Rub Rabbits, Feel the Magic XX/XY, Sim City 4, (on their sides) Chrono Trigger DS, KotOR II: The Sith Lords, massive pile of unsorted papers (including my university's ill-conceived "foreign language packet," my small notebook, my smaller MP3 player, soup-can-'o-change, three borrowed books of Tanya Huff (that I haven't read), Invitation to a Beheading by Nabokov, and my sketchbook.

Second shelf (top-most)
Brief Penguin Handbook (Used), The Art of the Interview (textbook for journalism), miscellaneous pile of paper, catalogs, homework, with my DS, PSP, and Animal Crossing:Wild World conquering the pile, four unopened bars of soap, and a basket in-which contains my showering essentials.

Now, to do some cleaning...

EDIT
It should not take that long just to clean desk space. Ugh. It's done, though.

Desk,
Router, Dr. Pepper bottle, bluetooth headset (charging), laptop, mouse, my headset

First Shelf,
Chrono Trigger DS, Front Mission, Castlevania, Meteos, Pokemon, Rub Rabbits, Feel the Magic, Animal Crossing, Sim City 4, Chrono Trigger soundtrack, electric shaver, ketchup packets, my two pocket memo-pads, two of my three Hacky Sacs, a soup can filled with change, books

Second shelf,
Give Me Liberty (Am Hist textbook), Writing an Reporting News, Course Catalog for LaTech, sketchbook, Norton's Shorter Seventh Edition Anthology of American Literature, The Anteater Reader, Writing from A to Z, Brief Penguin Handbook, Art of the Interview, misc. papers, soap, box of shower stuff.

Well before I respond, please note that I have a genetic deficiency which prohibits sugar from making me hyper at all, to the extent that 2 liters of pure espresso would not make me feel jumpy at all.
Anyways, I have 5 empty Slushie cups, a large bottle of OJ, and a glass of (melted) liquid choclate. Also, I have various hand made notes and maps from the last map I made for Warcraft 3.

I use a laptop and as such have no computer desk. So instead I will substitute my bedside tables.

Table 1:

A simple lamp. Next to it a pile of crap (aka my school stuff), on top of which is an amp wire and a pic. Underneath in the shelf under there is a pile of books that I have yet to read. However holiday is coming up soon so that pile will shrink. There is also a guitar tuner (electronic) on top of the pile. Next to that pile is a bunch of ads from in the mail and an empty box. If I ever get around to it I'll throw them away.

Table 2:

Another lamp but this time really cool. The head/shade thing is black with white spots (like bloodstain style spots), Sin City-esque. Next to it is a tissue box with an empty wallet and an empty hip flask. Under the lamp (like the lamp is standing right on it) is a "Classic Rock" magazine. In front of the lamp is an AC/DC Mug. Then the last thing is on the shelf underneath. That is a half open package with a ton of Russian stuff from my Uncle. I'm trying to learn the language :D
