Well mine isn't as bad as some but I took this the other day:

The two screens are hooked up to two separate windows machines (shared via synergy2) and then there's the old sharp zaurus, eeepc and the macbook pro.

Of course I could take a picture of the corner of my loungeroom where the servers are... but It's still not as crazy as some of the above.

I have a crystal skull(that I bought long before the latest Indian Jones movie), my high school diploma, a globe(it's shiny), my printer, and a tiny metal Christmas tree.

Well, lets see...not too much to be honest. I have (besides the obvious stuff like speakers) some Mario baddy miniatures (bullet bill, winged goomba, bom-omb). I have this japanese-ish 5-headed dragon statue thing (too lazy to get a picture). It's also littered with my many drawings of game characters I thought up. Yeah...that's about it.

EDIT: Oh, and a big stack of gaming magazines.

While my desk isn't as messy as those of some people here, I will state that in my immediate proximity are four computers, two keyboards, several mice, enough game systems to make a supercomputer, a monitor and a television, a stack of PC games which won't fit into my games cupboard, stacks of Magic: The Gathering cards, one National Geographic magazine from September 2008, two phones, one a Nokia E71, one a Nokia 1600, and a large amount of other random detritus. This is just the stuff that's loose, and to catalogue it all would take hours.

I will attempt to have the prize for most random items, though, as only inches from my left hand is a box of Disprin, a tube of Bonjela, a box of Panadol Cold & Flu and a box of Elastoplast plasters. At the same time, in a cupboard a few feet away from my right hand are three packets of baking soda.

I have, as of the time of posting, the following on my desk:

  • Two jars of pens (roughly 20% work)
  • A clarinet case
  • A box of A4 paper
  • An old keyboard (a dell "quietkey", possibly up to ten years old)
  • A broken white-out tape... applicator? (I am unsure as to what it's actually called)
  • The manual to Battlefield 2142
  • The manual to Call of Duty 4
  • A wallet
  • 8GB of USB memory (two 2GB, one 4GB)
  • Several blank DVDs (Roughly 12)
  • An old wireless mouse that broke when the batteries began to leak
  • A long chain of USB extension cables (Four linked 1m cables)
  • A copy of Windows XP Pro
  • A box of 3.5 inch diskettes, gathering dust
  • A hole punch
  • Ten dollars and twenty cents in change
  • A box of Claratyne rapid
  • I'd say that I'm messier than most of the others here.

I'd put up a picture, but I aint got a scooby doo as to how I go about it...

On top, L-R. iMac + keyboard & mouse, my coffe mug (essential!), ash tray, the house phone, pc monitor & speakers + keyboard & mouse and finally baccy, filters, lighter & skins.

Under the desk, L-R. Printer (on top of a shitload of paper), modem & router, several dvds, subwoofer, some of my pc games and last but not leats, my pc tower.

It's only this tidy cos I recently got a big desk to put it all on. I'm sure my girlfriend will make a mess of it soon enough, she has a lovely habit of leaving her crap everywhere...

My desk is a rather large, useful affair that takes up a good chunk of a corner of my room. It has several shelves and compartments, which I use to store CD's, game boxes, game controllers, speakers, books, pencils, picture frames, etc.

    On top of the desk

Top left shelf (below the desktop)

    Bottom left shelf

    Top right shelf

    Bottom right shelf

    Bookshelf 1

    Bookshelf 2

    Small compartment for important stuff

I'm not even going to bother listing my 30 or so CD's, or the stuff that's on the rack above/behind the desktop.

While making this list, it came to my attention that there are 10 framed pictures of me in my room (9 if you don't count ones with family). Holy shit.

I too use a laptop, but the area around it has enough crap to be a decent substitute.
    Ok, left to right.
A plastic bag with empty Pringles containers in it, empty bottles of various fizzy drinks, my mobile phone and charger, a half eaten block of chocolate, an empty pizza box at my feet to be removed when I get up next, my wallet (with a measly $30AUD in it), a stack of DVD's (everything from Scrubs seasons 1-6, My Name Is Earl season 1, the Labyrinth, the Dark Crystal, Nightmare Before Christmas, Black Books, Die Hard 1,2 and 3, and god knows what else), 2 packets of Barley Sugars, a box of Clix, my sleeping pills, 2 1.5L bottles of water, a knife and a plate with Kraft Cheddar cheese on it, a fan, a 6 inch dagger, 3 blankets, 4 pillows, my mouse (computer not small and furry), a fluffy echidna (for those who dont know its an Aussie animal), my childhood toy and safety blanket Mousey (looks like a cross between a blue mouse and a possum with stars on his belly), a cat harness and leash, an empty juice carton, my cigarettes and lighter, my book (currently Harry Potter 2...I ran out of other books to read), a small TV that I can't use because I left the remote control at my nans house, my pencil case, and a folder that I store all of my creative writing in.
Oh and my cat just decided to join me and is now sitting on my chest...
Wow...I have alot of shit around me don't I...

I have no computer desk, I run my computer through my television.
My coffee table is the closest thing, I suppose, on that is; my phone, two remote controls, my mouse/mouse pad, cup of coffee, a coffee mug filled with packets of soy sauce and duck sauce, toothpicks, a copy of Saint's Row 2, a copy of the film Abres los Ojos (Open Your Eyes), incense holder, two pencils, an empty ziplock bag, a stray packet of ketchup I cannot recall the origin of, the book I'm read "Mozart in the Jungle; Sex, Drugs, and Classical Music, a paper clip, and a bag of candy corn.
If you want pictures, I'll gladly take them.
    I really have to clean...

I have a word for this: "permacrud." It's like a perpetual layer of crap that occasionally melts away but always returns in the winter.

At one point, I had enough spare papers on my desk to use the surface as a Exacto-cutting board without worrying about harming the desk.
