So I was watching Yahtzee's new review and at the end I saw that he decided to get together with some of his mates and make a show called "GameDamage", located here: http://www.gamedamage.net/.

So my question's are:
1: What do you think of it? Is it something that you would be interested in?
2: Did you think that Yahtzee was slightly more socially awkward than you thought?
3: What do you think candy has to do with gaming, if it has anything to do with it at all?

I thought the show was pretty good. I'm not sure if I'm going to get into it, but I'm willing to watch a few episodes to give it a fair chance.

1. I think it's brilliant and I'm looking forward to more.
2. He does seem to focus on the camera a lot, which to me is a sign of nervousness.
3. Candy fuels gamers to play more games. It also breaks the ice at parties.

1. Yug, Yahtzee and Matt are my favorite combo back from their podcasts in australiangamer.com Hearing this news made me jump in glee and watching it made me jump even higher. It was great
2. Yahtzee can be something more... than I thought? Over the I've found that nothing about Yahtzee can be unexpected.
3. That's what you're supposed to write to them, not to us.

I saw part of an episode, so I can't say I'm an expert, but will say this:

I'm not a fan. Yahtzee does seem awkward, and it just doesn't seem...worth the time to watch.
Yahtzee doing this is like...an action movie actor trying to do drama.
Think 'Simple Jack' (For those who have seen 'Tropic Thunder').
Totally out of his element.
And while he's not BAD, per se, he's not good either. I enjoy ZP, no doubt, but I'll stick with that.

I can't seem to connect to that page. Not sure why, but it times-out every time I try...hmm...

It's very meh. It has its moments but they are few and I quite frankly don't feel like sitting through 25 minutes of shit for the 5 minutes that could make me laugh.

My work internet blocked me from seeing it.

Have you seen it before, because if this is your first time watching it, how can you rate a 30 min. video after 4 minutes?
My first impression is: GREAT! Smart, funny and absolutly how every decent show about gaming should be. Keep it up! :D

Ok, skip that part.

It really is meh if it was on tv I would probably turn it over which is a shame.

Meh. It wasn't particularly good in my opinion. I think Yahtzee is brillaint in ZP, but I'd be fairly surprised if any networks actually picked this up.
It just seemed very awkward.

1. Quite awesome, looking forward to it
2. Im actually quite terrified of Yathzee now, he does look like the sort of guy that sets puppies on fire
3. Sweet = Awesome, Games = Awesome 'nuff said

1. I thought it was pretty good, but they laboured their sketches too much. Just making one MGS joke and then moving on would have been funnier.
2. No, but I love the way he never smiles.
3. I think it's one of the primary foodstuffs of the gaming elite. When one is playing a high-octane shooter it's important that the player receives energy so he can keep going - nearby sweets are both high in energy and easy to eat, so naturally are suitable for this task.

It has it's moments like the Duke Nukem Forever Design Team (hilarious imho), but it just isn't as polished as it could be.

I think i'm gonna stick with Zero Punctuation for now.

Eh, alright. I'll give it a shot, but Yahtzee's pulling out of his element. He's so good scripted that this other crap isn't worth his time to perform, and therefore isn't worth my time to watch.

I wish there were less skits, and I wish Yahtzee had an actual expression...but otherwise quite good

Hey, this is my first post!

I actually think this is awesome and hope it becomes a weekly or bi-monthly.
The other two guys give a nice balance to Yahtzee's hatred for the world and all things in it.

Plus its nice to see Yahtzee in something other than black man on yellow background mode.

All in all damn sweet.....just like his hat.

Same with me.

I can't accept Yahtzee in not animated form. It just doesn't work for me.

FYI, I added the youtube embed to your post. Their site doesn't seem to be too happy at the moment.

Hm, Yahtzee just doesn't seem very natural, and I couldn't help but think he's been watching Top Gear and wants to be Jeremy Clarkson. Plus he looks really depressed all the time. Ah well, it's still a promising show.

Also, come to think of it, the other two presenters don't really fit in. Yahtzee is as cutting, cynical and hilarious as ever but the other two tended to irritate me.

Nah, Yahtzee doesn't do massive pauses....or say.........

......

In The World!

But I get your point =]

Even beyond not looking natural, Yahtzee resembles an artificial lifeform at times in this pilot.....There were times when I wondered if he were made out of plastic (I guess it's his expressions, or lack thereof, in addition to the look of his skin......).

That "prize" at the end had me laughing my ass off. Unfortunatly, that was the funniest bit. I do have high hopes for this series, but as for now, it's a bit "meh".

I think that Yahtzee, yug, and matt, are a pretty good combination since I've been lisening to the australian gamer podcast.

That was OK I suppose. Wasn't particularly outstanding but I'll probably watch it in future.

Was quite good. Its refreshing to watch a gaming show that isn't complete toss, although to be honest there aren't that many gaming shows about. Am I right?

I have to agree that the jokes did run their course, the Duke Nukem thing was ok, the Metal gear skit got old. The Master Chief thing was ok too. I think that if they script it better and speak over eachother less, it can turn into a great show. At the moment its more suited to being a podcast where they just discuss stuff.

I think thats just Yahtzee's look. The whole stone faced, "don't mess with me I'm angry" look is just his thing, and it works....maybe im just a bright eyed fan who wouldn't have him any other way but thats just me.

It's interesting to actually see the guy behind the awesome reviews.
But I'd say that this is just not his... part. The fast-speaking character fits him better.

The Duke Nukem-Part was cool, though.

The other guys... meh. I love Yahtzee.

I don't know what to make of this. Matt and Yug seem alright, but Yahtzee seems unnecessarily sarcastic and cold (in the unrehearsed couch scenes). In his own videos, he sounds excited and into it most of the time. His lack of enthusiasm in the show is somewhat of a letdown. But at least he's consistent in his views.

I'm not laughing. I am, however, interested.

Let me just say, if this was on TV I'd quickly change the channel.

A big 'meh' on my part.

Also what's up with Mirror's Edge themed site?

You have to remember that it's a pilot. Technically, that's episode zero. If sponsors hop on board, the budget would presumably increase, and there would be a lot more polish and a lot of fine tuning done to improve it.

I liked it. I see a lot of potential if given a fair chance.

Hmm. Well it's only a pilot, and the uncomfortable-ness of Yahtzee will be reduced the longer he spends in front of the camera. I think most of the bad parts can be put down to the presenters being camera shy as a matter of fact. Looking forward to a proper episode, let's hope it gets commissioned.
