I had a day of work and I decided to go for a ride while the sun was out, when all of a sudden I was passing this 10 or younger year old kid in his front lawn. The kid was cute but damn does he have a mouth on him, he said almost every curse word I know of directly at me while riding past his house and as I went of into the sunset he said "yeah keep riding you fucking pansy"! Everything this child said to me I learnt when I was 15.

At the time I ignored it but 10 minutes later I felt like I should have done something. Maybe I could have scared him or rang the door bell and tell his parents that he offended me and to put soap in that dirt hole of his!

So have any of you Escapians ever come across little buggers like this one? And did you do anything about it? I'm just not sure about it so could anyone tell me what I should have done!

Going to a public school will make you learn those words at about ten. I remember doing the same thing.

Yeah, and when I do, I either laugh like a mad-crazy scientist or give the kid one of those Maori War Dance Faces. They usually freak out and run away or laugh so hard the poo themselves.

Yep, and let me say, since I stand 6 feet 4 inches tall, and have a smooth deep voice, I almost made a kid like that shit his pants.

If you were out cycling (I'm assuming that's the kind of ride you were on) you should have turned and rode along his front lawn as if to run him down. Scares the crap out of anyone under the age of 13. Extra points if you can get between him and his front door and/or slap him one as you ride past.

I realise this is a horrible thing to do and completely immoral, but it's satisfying.

I take action when I occur a situation of a young kid (below teens) swearing off at me. The last incident was a ~five year old child running into his house, running back out, swearing one or two words at me, running back into his house. He resembled a paranoid meerkat that ate dirt for breakfast, and sniggled himself to death at how funny this game was. I stopped and watched him, then marched towards him. He replied, "SHIT!" and ran back inside his house. I knocked the door, a very young mother answered, and I explained to her the situation. She looked like she was going to beat the kid and I left with satisfaction.

It isn't the badmouthed young children that bother me as much as the death-threatening children with 'kidnap me' written across their foreheads. Two very creepy little girls were running around my neighborhood knocking on doors and demanding candy from perfect strangers. They came to mine and after I told them to bugger off, they said that they would kill me in my sleep. I could do nothing about it at that time as I didn't know where exactly they lived, and I kept thinking about those little twin evil girls in horror movies by how absolutely scary these kids looked. Eventually the neighbor's child brought it up in a conversation and told me she knew where they lived. I marched to their house, and the little girls were actually stalking me from behind people's houses. Their father has no idea this problem was going on and went from a nice tall gentleman to a boiling mass of anger as he roared for his children to come there now. He moved from that location not long afterward, though I don't believe the two creepy children were involved in the choice. I'm glad I no longer have to encounter them.

My neighbor's kid one day, whom was ten at the time, called me a, "god damn pansy cunt". So I backhanded him. He ran home crying to his daddy, who came over with our other neighbor whom is a sheriff.
"Son, this boy says you struck him. Is this true?"
"I can not tell a lie officer, I did discipline that boy for disrespecting his elders with swearing."
And of course the boy protests. Unfortunately for him, while he was swearing up a storm at me, I just so happened to be filming for a high school project, and kept the footage just in case. I showed the sheriff and the dad the footage, and he dropped the charges....After backhanding his son.

I hate little kids like that, I generally yell back at them. Most of them talk big but there just a bunch of softies.

I bet you went home and had a good laugh about that kid. I know I would have.

My neighbor's kids are so bad that I actually video taped a conversation between two of them and was going to put it on youtube. I decided that wasn't a good idea for a variety of reasons, but here is a transcript of the conversation in spoiler tags (I don't know why, but its funny to censor something said by a six year old!) Kid #1 is a six year old who look a lot like Shirley Temple (minus the smile) and kid #2 is another girl about five years old (a different neighbor) I didn't catch what launched this convo, but it must have been a big deal to Kid 1. I didn't type this all in caps, but rest assured, they are screaming very, very loudly. This is a transcript from the video (which is really funny, but also really sad :( )

At this point, I went over and separated them, and took girl #1 to her mother. (I didn't know who kid #2 was...) I had never spoken to the woman before, but told her what happened. The mom said something like "Fuck Julie's little bitch child." and hugged Kid #1.

Honestly, what can you do? In the end, you aren't their parents.

P.S. The mother was arrested about 3 weeks later. Don't know what for...

Haha, that would be something to see. Some little kid makes fun of you while your driving, you step out and you could crush him like a grape! lol

Other than on XBL I don't see many of them, mouthing off to people in or out of school here usually gets you your ass kicked by somebody, so the "screecher" population here tends to be low.

Children these days need a serious lesson in manners. Though back-handing a kid in the face? Theres a fine line between discipline and abuse.

That would be very entertaining, both for myself and spectators.

Heh, I really never had that problem, other than a couple of youths two years younger than me (I'm 18) calling me emo or goth or whatever. The ten year olds are actually quite scared of my appearance, so they don't bother me. They all call me "Mister" and whatnot :P Makes me feel old.

10? I heard 6 year olds using words like "bitch" when talking to their mothers.

The sad thing is that as a parent in the US you are not allowed to smack them upside the head. Speaking from personal experience (My father had some heavy mitts...) it helps to cure any and all behavioral problems and makes them a better person.

Yeah sorry I should have said cycling, I also might just go by that house again and hopefully find that kid! I'm interested to know what type of parents he has.

No joke!

I was spanked and smacked around if I was disrespectful. Not abuse (Dad never over-did it), but real discipline. That's what kids need these days. None of this 'time-out' BS. Where is the punishment?

A swift hand across the behind or boot on the butt while running to your room will give them something to REALLY think about.

Same. One told me if he didn't give me my money, he'd "fuck me up" (he looked about 8). Lifted him up by the neck. Dropped him. Not the nicest thing to do, but he shut up in a hurry.

I would have turned around and beat his ass until he passed out from the pain. And yes I have these kinds of kids in my town too. I beat them down. Not going to be taking that shit from a kid that's only been on this earth for 8 years.

You obviously have never been to a school in Dublin....or Ireland for that matter.

Every kid nowadays curses because they think it is "cool" to make fun of other people and curse at them.

I find it pointless. Yeah, occasionally i do say curse words, but i don't curse unless i am angry or sad or just in a bad mood, and even then i try not to.

It is harder not to curse when you are in school. If you listen to them enough, it just becomes natural to say it in normal conversation.

Agreed, I got my ass whooped on several occasions and always deserved it when I got it. In fact this has been a matter of debate between me and my mother about my teenage sister because she can have a real attitude and mouth on her of course being the baby of the family she didn't get it as rough as me or my brother but as I told her my kids are going to get their asses whooped because there is no way in hell I'm raising another ignorant, rude and crass American child that makes me shudder just to listen to.

I retract all my statements on gun control. This is what guns are for. Put the child in a foster home (or preferably a really strict school, I would say military school, but I don't want that kid near weapons) and put a bullet in the mothers head.

Thats abit harsh, sure hes a little bastard but he doesn't know better and I just want him to learn not to act that way instead of bullying him. Alot of people tend to get worse with attitude when they get beaten to often when they are young.

Sure they may seem like they are just words but if his parents don't teach him that it's bad, he will grow up thinking he can get away with other bad things. Well thats abit extreme but lets not take any chances!

If you had actually stopped and gotten out of the car I'm sure the little snot would have dropped everything and ran inside the house.
