I did something similar. Last month, some asshole 13 year old (I'm 15 and only 5'8, and I haven't grown since I was 12, so I'm not that big anymore) called me a cock sucker because He and his group of friends(all obviously younger, and only about 10 or 11) were standing in front of the door of a blockbuster, and when I walked by, I walked between them, and they got pissed because they were talking and I walked in front of them. they shoved me, and i dropped my glass iced tea bottle. I tried to reason with them that they were in a doorway where people walked. They pushed me again, so I picked up the glass bottle and broke it on the wall, giving me a nice weapon. By the time I looked up, they were gone. |

Some kids run around thinking Oh I'm little I can do w/e I want and you just generally try to ignore them. However some kids just don't seem to get the message and continue to hound you like as if they just wanted your attention. Oh wait they do..... |

We just get called "smelly rockers" where i live we are quick to point out that we only smell bad relative to how much deoderant they put on in the morning in what we like to call a "pikey shower" where in a can of lynx is placed under each arm and sprayed until empty. Pikey being a rather derogatory term for anyone who wears a tracksuit and insist on tucking the legs into there socks. |

To hell with them. The molly coddling that goes on today under the guise of child protection is more like abuse, and how much psychological damage is being taken by the kids who never hear those character building words "You Lost"? A good smack across the back of the head will fix more behavioural problems than any number of "time outs" and such. |

Since I was one of the older kids, I had the job of helping the nuns teach classes full of younger kids, though they weren't usually that much younger (10 to 13 years old). One kid, who was known as the troublemaker, began insulting and hitting other students, all while the nun was talking. I waited to see if he would calm down. He didn't, so I told him to get out. The class went silent and he looked at me like I was joking, but he left anyway. After class, one of the administrators walked up to me and asked me if I sent this kid out of the room. I said yes, and he said "Nice, but don't do that next time." Apparently there's some kind of accountability issue. That's not the worst of it, though. When Sunday school was over, this kid ran up to me and kicked me in the heel. I turned around and he stood there, swearing and laughing at me. So I palm-struck the kid in the mouth. Then he began to yell "What the f-" but I hit him again before he had time to finish. He backed off, and I got in a world of trouble with the administrator. But the kid doesn't bother anyone anymore. See? Kids KNOW that they are able to get away with a lot of things because they KNOW people aren't "allowed" to hit them--they live in a world of entitlement. So there's no real consequence for bad behavior. All you have to do is give them real, tangible deterrents, and pretty soon, God's little angels won't be little demons anymore, the blighters. |

This little kid of about 7 is running around just outside the security area (where I was standing) banging into people and cussing up a storm. At one point he told a grandmother to "fuck off you shit cunt whore" which was the point I decided I was going to do something about it. There was a 'bogon' mother there who was just watching the child but doing nothing about it. Anyway, kid runs past me and my hand snakes out. Picture a 6 foot 2 guy crouching down with all the chains and black leather around him and whispering in a dark deep voice "If you don't sit down I'm going to cut you into little pieces and eat your mother alive". I'm not certain he understood what I was saying but he ran off to his mother crying. How she reacted is another story... |

I totally agree with you there. The kids think that just because they're younger that they protected/invincible. We should have the right to give them discipline if their parents aren't up to being proper parents. Although smashing a kid in the face may be a bit drastic, verbal abuse and threats should be allowed for the little brats. |

I was at my school casually talking to friends when a little 10 year old kid (school is a combination of upper and lower grades) comes up to me and 1. kicks me in the shin and 2. calls me a f****** faggot (i get this a lot as my voice has a bit of a gay ring to it). Me being pissed of at this brat, grab his collar and tell him that if he says another word ill punch his face in. Well he runs off and a few moments later, a teacher. Well i get a load of hell and the kid gets away with it. Point of the story: kids are getting away with more and more because of their age and how they believe they have the right to do anything. The main factor causing the misbehavior and constant cussing is the parents. I was raised by a very moral/strict family. I only learned the majority of cusses in year 6. Even then i still don't use them unless i'm really angry. Kids need to be disciplined. Just because they know the word doesn't mean that they can use it. |

I know that most of our respective state police forces are corrupt as allan bond, but we need to draw the line in the sand somewhere. As a born and bred queenslander, I have to say that beating the little over-entitled prats who think they have some kind of divine permissions into line with accepted societal norms should be a welcomed thing, not a criminally punished thing. If we had a police force in queensland that wasn't based around bullyboy mentality and a "might makes right" mentality, I'd probably be more agreeable to your stance. As things stand though, I can't bring myself to agree with you, as much as I want to from an intellectual view.
