Fellow Escapists, I have a small issue.
My steam account seems to have been blocked from buying anything.
This is probably because the system said my billing address was wrong, so I tried to purchase the game (Garry's mod) over and over again, slightly changing the way I spelled my address each time.
Steam probably assumed I was trying to hack the account and promptly stopped me being able to purchase.
My question is this, could anyone either tell me how to sort this out (I contacted Valve 3 days ago and still have no response.) Or could anyone gift Garry's mod to me over Steam and send me their email so I can PayPal them the £5.99?
Either would be very appreciated :)

Contact Valve and wait for a reply, I'm sure your query will be answered in due time.

It IS Christmas, there will be less staff actually available. Plus, they don't work over the weekend.

yeah good point.
Its weird, I dont think of them as a normal company, just like some magic fairies who sweep in and cure all your gaming ills.

Would if I had Steam, and Paypal, and knew how to work either of the two. When money and internet collide, I retreat into the safety cave (technical term.)

Patience sounds like your friend here. It's a busy time of year. And I'm sure G-Mod is worth the wait.

nope, not banned in any other way. Still not sure if that really is the issue, but I assume it is.

I'd love to help, but Steam won't work worth a darn on my computer for some reason. It kept telling me I already had an account when I didn't. None of the different entries I put in the windows worked. It wouldn't tell me what my supposed account's password was either so I said the heck with it. I just play Valve games on my 360 now.
