Well then, I think this debate has come to a conclusion. By the way, did you strangle three year old kittens, or where you three when you strangled kittens? User was banned for: Your.Name.Here Presents: Perma-Ban, the Thread!. (Permanent) |

BANNED Posts: 4378 Joined: 21 Aug 2008 | Isn't it funny how this guy's left pinky is better than all the guitarists mentioned thus far? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FNlwmpU7Rk For those who don't know very much about music, the piece he is playing was previously thought to be impossible to play on a single guitar. And he did it at 19! Gutted. User was banned for: Microsoft and the World Domination of Gaming&Communication. (Permanent) |

Infamous Scribbler Posts: 688 Joined: 22 Dec 2008 | I do enjoy Yngwie but he is such a show off. And for that matter so is anyone in DragonForce and don't let anyone tell you different (I don't know their names). I do agree with Di Meola who is pretentious but not a total show off, Frank Zappa, who is such a ridiculously pretentious show off he ends up coming out the other end squeaky clean, and is hilarious on top of that. For blues style stuff you can't beat Clapton and Eric Johnson. There is one old guitarist that sadly never went anywhere who will always have a special place for me though. That man is Sandy Bull. Quick, look him up! He was a brilliant player who died out because he was a bit too ahead of his time, even for the sixties when you had to be ahead of the time just to keep up with the times. And one last one, you might know him as the musician who played the Space Ghost theme, but he was also an old standby in Miles Davis's group, Sonny Sharrock. So unbelievably spaced out and amelodic I just love it. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2893 Joined: 6 Mar 2008 | No love for Zakk Wylde or Tom Morello? Zakk Wylde is just kickass, and sings while playing some pretty intricate stuff. And Tom Morello deserves a mention for being different and experimental more than anything else. |

actually it wasn't a joke, that video you posted, most of the stuff that guy does many guitarists do the same thing, strumming and picking at the same time isn't very hard SRV used to do that, so does Al Di Meola and he's considered one of the best jazz guitarists of all time |
