Good: Not having to read research papers and literature Bad: Inevitably forgetting to pack 5-10 books for the two to three weeks I'm back home Ugly: Reading my 18 year old sister's angsty tween/teen melodrama fiction out of sheer desperation :shame:
Good: Amazing homemade Indian food Bad: Fat Ugly: Awkward dinners with parents
Good: Spending time away from the girlfriend :] Bad: Spending time away from the girlfriend :[ Ugly: Having to hear everyone talk/complain about their partners and even worse, meeting them!
Good: Stuff that I didn't have to pay for Bad: Remembering that I have no friends to chat with on the holidays. Ugly: The vomit that happens when I eat gingerbread cookies. But they're sooo good.
It depends on what side of my family i spend it with
Dads side Good:Get to go out to Hastings go down to the beach next day Bad: I have to put the normal, polite, sane mask on around them. And my grandmother constantly criticizing my hair. Ugly: Car journey there with my little brother and sisters asking "were we going" "when are we going to get there" "Can I go on you PSP" again and again and again.
Mums side Good:Stay at home I can act how I act at home and after dinner can disappear to do as I wish Bad: All the family members I don't know telling me how big I have gotten Ugly: Old music being played till about 4am as every one gets drunk and stumbles home.
Eggo: Are you allergic to gingerbread or something? :o
No, it's the frosting that my sister insists on having put onto them. Three parts Butter, two parts Sugar, and expired pastel food coloring makes Turkish a very ill little girl.
Good: Presents and seeing peopels faces when I give them presents. Bad: Family. Ugly: me, after spending a week with my boyfriend D; I'm going to go MENTAL!

Clingy, overbearing mental?
Or "I AM GOING TO RAVAGE YOU SO HARD YOUR BALLS WILL MOST PROBABLY CURL UP AND DIE" mental?
Good: Food! I like the food. Bad: Family, presents, I don't want them and people keep giving me presents and I have to pretend I'm happy with them. I'd rather not get anything. Ugly: My whole family. (wink)
Good: Getting stoned at my cousins' house and the proceeding turkey holocaust. Bad: After gifts, I have no money. Bleah! Ugly: My terrible other cousin who tries to 'inspire' me with stories of how rich and accomplished she was at my age. Please God Kill Me: My cousin the meth addict, and her creepy, drunken enabler adoptive dad.

Haha. Mental because I can't spend that much time with someone without wanting to rip their heads off. ^^

Good: finally being at home and away from my racist grandparents, unlike most years Bad: Not being able to see my awesome cousins Ugly: my grandma's rotten apple-core of a soul. (you think I'm kidding? I'm not. she disapproves of pretty much everyone aside from short-haired athletic white republicans, to the point where they refused to keep a picture of their only daughter in their house for around twenty years because she had long hair [they still don't have one of me because I'm overweight {sorry for the venting}])
Good: Cooking with my mom and playing poker with everyone after eating. Bad: My annoying little cousins. Ugly: The Christmas gifts I receive from my aunt and uncle, last year literally all I got from them was a car air freshener(it still had the dollar sticker from the clearance rack at walmart), the thing is i'm actually really close with them, despite the passive aggressive jokes, I still get shite!
Good: Lots of awesome food, and probably a PS3 game, and spending a nice evening with my family. Bad: Fucking homework... Ugly: Lots of people complaining about the bad weather.
