Most times we look at Certain horror creatures that cause an effect on a person's humanity as menaces, but at times these effects can be seen as beneficial

In one way a vampire making you immortal is awesome, but if you don't like living life as a bloodsucking creature, living forever isn't exactly a plus.

What I'd like to hear opinions on is, given the choice what would you let bite/affect you and why? (It's good to include a reason why for choice.)

The options:

1."Rage" Zombie (28 Days Later")

2.Traditional Zombie

3.Werewolf

4.Demon/Ghost (possession)

5.Vampire

6.Darkseeker ("I Am Legend")

7.A specific combination (for combined abilities) Ex. Furry vampire/werewolf hybrid

8.Stay human and maintain my humanity (A human will still bite you though, rules are rules)

Edit: You can throw in any other mythical/Horror creature you think of, to keep it interesting (Angelina Jolie Doesn't count)

Well since I'm racist against zombies, that rules them out. I think I like to be human, seeing as being a werewolf is just uncontrollable and dangerous and I like the sun, so I couldn't be a vampire.

If there's one thing I learned from the movies, it's that anything non-human has a low survivability rate or something seriously impairing their social life. Or both.
I like my social life -with emphasis on life.

Demon/Ghost. Rotating your head 360 while producing fountains of vomit and spouting profecies of doom in dead language. What can be cooler?

EDIT: In case of Demon possession that also comes with complementary sprouting of kewl horns and tail + dominion over fire, darkness and lesser demons.
In case of Ghost possession that comes with ability to de-materialize (invisibility + ability to phase through) and to possess other things (your body goes limb while you possess something).

Vampires are awesome, like Vamp from MGS2.

I'd much rather be human and not have freakish weaknesses to regularly occurring substances like garlic or silver thank you very much.

If I had to chose another one though I think being a warewolf wouldn't be too bad. You'd only freak out on a full moon.

I'm struggling to decide between a Vampire and a Werewolf. I'd say a hybrid of the two, but I'm unsure as to how that would work.

Humans have weaknesses, too, you know. We have very allergic reactions to bullets in the face.

Vampire. But the cool kind. Not the lame pansy-assed Twilight kind. Actually, yeah, the pansy-assed Twilight kind. Let's do it.

Vampire, zombies are sadly too easy to kill sometimes.

Yes but you don't tend to run into bullets in the face in the kitchen cupboards, for example, as you would garlic.

I'd like a succubus to 'affect,' me, hur hur. But, if I had to choose from the original bunch, I'd probably pick being bitten by a vampire. Total immortality, short of holy water and wooden stakes in the chest (but who has holy water lying around anyway?), and you can turn into one of the few mammals that can actually fly without dying horribly a few seconds later. Sure, the Sun is a big problem, but just bring a big hat and trench coat wherever you go. As well as looking like Dick Tracy, you'll be Sunproof. Win-win.

Either the traditional dracula vampire (not these no sun wussies) or the Legacy of Kain vampires. Or mebbe a werewolf if I had a measure of control like the Underworld wolfies.

I want to be a werewolf, I dont know why, they just seem cooler than vampires...as long as I had some control... and you only have to deal with the effects once every full moon, that is what once a month, so you could have a more or less normal life... I would be smart and make sure I move to a region of the world that has lots of wolves and forest etc... so I could go off and feed in the forests as I will without being 2 suspect... Also making sure I have good contacts in the huntng comunity, so it will b easier to avoid hunters, traps etc.

Definitely a vampire.

They're strong, fast, (usually) badass, and babe magnets.

Also, I wouldn't mind not being able to go out in sun light, since I barley see it anyway.

As much as I hate the vampire freaks at school, and going with the masses, it would be pretty kick ass to be a vampire. Plus bats are cool man.
I wouldn't be one of those shitty vampires that people obsess over who are all romantic and crap, I'd be too busy sucking lifeless all the people who I hate and fill me with immense RAGE. I would be feared and strike terror in the hearts of babies EVERYWHERE. AHA

Oh yes.. what a time I would have...

I'd let a Human bite me. But the human in question would have to be female, cute and have an acceptable bill of health and hygiene.

I'd rather become some sort of clockwork-powered demon or golem, like Kroenen from Hellboy.

If I got bitten by anything then it would have to be a vampire. I'd be immortal and super strong and have all those other crazy powers. By far it offers the most perks. Unless I had control over the were wolf transformation like in Hellsing. Then it would be a toss up.

If we start taking some pieces of the occult into this (demons, ghosts, etc.) then we may as well take all into it. Humans, in that case, if knowledgeable enough in the subject could be much more powerful than any of the listed possibilities. Dealing with Stormcloud's post that also would include liches, being that generally they are some transgression into a powerful zombie (with most examples of zombies I'd say they were closer to humans, they actually have some semblance of understanding other than "HE HAS BODY HEAT! MUST KILL!"), and there wouldn't really be a point to taking the other, flawed, choices.
