I don't think Tennant is departing soon. He got 3 series worth and seeing as each ep is now nearly double the length of the originals it can be debated that he had done at least as much as many of the other Doctors. Personally, I would love Rowan Atkinson to do it. I know he won't but still... | |
Alan Davis. Got to be. Either that or some nobody no one has ever heard of but turns out to be fantastic. As long as they do the part well and they are awesome I don't really care. Also, for the next Master - Jeremy Irons. A return to the old-style master look. Less of the stupid dancing around hearing noises... "The drums... The drums..." Someone who actually agrees with me on this! Everybody else I know thinks he is a God for some reason.
After watching the whole program it looks more like Moffat chose him because RTD said something like "I was so jealous when I found out who it was" which suggests someone else told him who had been cast. Also, I'm pretty sure Moffat said something to that effect somewhere in the show too. | |

I like the look of this new guy. Quite young, but its...odd. He looks younger than he is but his eyes have age. I could totally believe this is a 900 year old alien in a 20 somethings body. Anyway, I liked him in "The Ruby in the Smoke", but then again, he was playing a very different character. Its intresting, but I'm bound to warm to him. I did with Tennant, and if this guys up to scratch, I will with him. | |
Honestly I've never heard of matt smith. From the way he looks he'll sound a bit...prep schooled/niave. He doesn't have that "900 years of knowledge" look to him. Plus the way he's supposed to "give the Doctor a whole new take". Disturbs me quite a lot. If they make this some crappy soap adaptation thing geared for 12 year olds I swear to the gods I will bomb the bbc. =.= | |

At 17:35, Doctor Who Confidential (the rather lame arse making of show they stick on after new Doctor Who Episodes) will reveal who the 11th actor to play the lead role will be. The favourite is Alan Johnson (the black guy from Peep Show). However, what are your hopes? ANd do you think Tennant is departing to soon?
