There were 3 or 4 I had never seen before. |

I'm just curious as those are the only ones that I have little to no idea what they are about. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 733 Joined: 23 Jan 2008 | Here's all the ones I managed to find; I can't remember what number the bat was or what number the black forum vagabond was, but I remember they had weird numbers and were all by themselves...
I've also never seen the brown "E" , Haunted House, Star, or the one next to the Unforgotten Realms; they were in normal order though, so I assume they've already been given out. Maybe at WarCry? |
IT Director  Posts: 1544 Joined: 13 Jun 2002     | The E was for an EVE-related contest. Most of the others (like the bat) are art we decided not to go with or tests. Our code doesn't delete the art when a badge is deleted, so don't assume that there's a badge just because the art was in there. It's also pretty typical for us to make a badge in the system and just throw some random art in there when we need to prep code but don't have the final art (like that sword one). The bat, IIRC, was the original for the Phantom Arcade (which is why it matches the others). After the artists made the big fancy logo for the game we decided to use the Pac-Man instead. |

That's for being a news room contributer, you have to actually work for the Themis Group(they own the escapist and warcy) to get that and several other badges. |

Glad to know people think it's legit though! Sorry for the spam, but I thought it would be hilarious. EDIT: The black forum vagabond is also a dupe, the others are all legit. |

When looking through all the badge directories on the Escapist, I came across this badge. How come we didn't have a quiz for it? It looks spiffy.
