They had a gun with enough bullets to kill all but one of them. So the dad character takes it shoots his son and the old people in the face. He freaks out and gets out of the car to go get eaten or w/e and a bunch of tanks and transports full of families drives by him. The movie sucked but the ending made me laugh. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2146 Joined: 7 Sep 2008 | The ending to The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. After all that horrible hardship and suffering everyone had to go through, the eucatastrophe happens- I've never felt more triumphant than when I saw Sauron's tower crumble and shatter...I know there's more after that, I love that as well. The ending to the Original Star Wars is quite awesome as well- no words needed, just the wonderful music of John Williams (coupled with the annoying warbling of Chewbacca.....Darn wookies....). |

That could be a really disturbing sentence if taken out of context. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1249 Joined: 14 Aug 2008 | The ending to Dragonheart. Just one of the most amazing incredible scenes I have ever seen. A close second would be the Dark Knight, that had an awesome ending. |

COD:4 had overall lots of those great moments, like the nuke and that ending. |

Album wise and recently, the end to year zero. The last few moments of a survivor, now aware of all everyone has done, just before everything ends. |

If you all hate me for saying that, I'll add another, Saints Row 2, flying a helicopter into a building, jumping out, shooting the baddie, flying away and watching your favourite psycho Gat killing cops for fun. |

I know what you mean. I was on the phone with one of my good friends while I playing it. I was playing it with my best friend as well. Well we had the duel and he won it. So I was asll "blah blah blah whatever." Then I saw that. I couldn't breathe. My friend on the phone was wondering what the fuck happened. I just couldn't breathe for a few minutes. That indeed was the greatest ending ever. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 2343 Joined: 29 Oct 2008 | I do love the ending to an epic anything. But seriously in my mind, nothing can beat the ending to Portal. When the whole "ending" process begins (trying not to give spoilers), I was laughing my ass off constantly. |

Really have to agree with you there. Never seen any other movies that measure up. Also the book Timoleon Vieta Come Home by Dan Rhodes. It has a Lassie type story of a dog trying to get across Rome to its beloved master. Then, on the last page... |
