A virus that causes infertility in the next generation and is spread though body fluids. However it is also carried by mosquitoes because it isn't disolved like HIV is.
In OZ people, lab people, have made a disease that renders mosquitoes infertile in the next generation, so I'm gona say it goes cross-species.
If they released said disease, wouldn't that screw around with the food chain?
Not much, nothing really eats mosquitoes enough that taking them away will be a big deal. Its not like they are flys or ants and have other animals on their back.
All mosquitoes tend to do is go around spoiling water and spreading disease. If I'm wrong here somebody let me know. |

No problems, and sorry if it appeared I was flaming (didn't mean to).
Also, as I've pointed out a little earlier, even anti-viral drugs can (and will) fail, especially if it's a man-made virus. As you'd know, quite a few viruses, like influenza and HIV/AIDS, have that changing protein layer... it means that the drug has to be continually be changed, and if it's like HIV/AIDS, then there's no point, because the change happens too quickly for anti-viral medication to be effective. |
