I live in America, born and raised so i have no real accent. I live in Michigan and we don't have a Boston accent or anything. If i had to give myself one I'd say Apathetic. Most times when you talk to me i seem rather emotionless like i just don't care.

I am English...so have an English accent. I have one of those voices where it is just impossible for me to sound sincere.

i live in america, specifically the chicago area. my accent makes most people think im from new york though. take the city of chicago. most people actually from chicago pronounce the name of the city "chi-caw-go" but i say "chi-cah-go". some people have seriously asked me where im from. and according to my mom, this was even worse as a kid. ive never even been to new york. but whats really wierd is that im starting to sound slightly british/australian lately (though apparently im the only one to notice). maybe its because the only tv show i really watch is monty python on bbc. or maybe its because of zero punctuation.

I've got my South African accent, and judging from the time I've spent in the UK I'll probably die with it. I seem to pronounce English better than the inventors of the language, which amuses me greatly.

First of all, everyone has an accent, even Americans. It might be bland, invisible to the speaker and so on, but it is still an accent.

Now, on-topic, I, like a surprising number of other Escapists, speak with a Sydneysider accent.

My accent is pretty Canadian. There are a few British-isms in there, but its mostly Canadian. I've also been told that my accent can sometimes become pretty mid-western, but I don't hear it really.

Chicagoan. Which I would imagine is some localized version of midwestern America where we call soft drinks "pop" and despise ketchup and demand that all our relish is neon in color.

I have no idea either, but apparently you can identify a Chicagoan by accent.

I've got a rather mild North Dakotan accent with a hint of Canadian. It's not as bad as "Ya sure ya'bethca!" like some of my relatives, but it's close.

Costa Rican with a hint of 'Surfer American'? I have a hard time tell because I apparently speak very fast.

I don't know. I'm American, but I've been told I have a kind of "neutral" accent, as in I can sound pretty much like I'm from anywhere.

I find I can use my voice to REALLY mess with people's heads in online games.

Mother tongue (or first language), is a french dialect, so I do unfortunately have a french accent.

Mine is supposedly Russian... But too many people take it for hispanic (Or spanish, whatever's more correct for accents) or sometimes, somehow, even redneck.

So... I think i ll pick the first choice. Having an accent sucks, for the most part.

I don't really know what accent... although I was born and raised in Canada, and I do say "out", "boat", etc. like the Canadians do (although I don't say "car" with a curved "r"), so a Canadian accent, I guess.

I haver a quite light Australian accent. My parents are not australian (one english one israeli) so i think that is why it is light.

American, but my friends tell me that I can do a pretty convincing Russian accent.

Seriously, I couldn't pull off an accent if I drug a Frenchman down a dark alley for it. I can't even pull off a good redneck accent.

I'm cursed with a west-counrty somerset accent. If any of you don't know what it is... It's basically the closest existing accent to pirates. It would be cool if it was ONLY pirates, but the whole farmer + cider thing have alose been tied into it and it isn't really something I want to be associated with.

Half Canadian accent, half Chicago accent.

My mom is from Chicago, my Dad raised in Canada (But born in Holland)...so I've got a bit of both! The 'Chicago' part only really comes out in my A's though.

Half Australian/ Half New Zealand, I know this because whenever I go back to Australia everyone says "Oh,you're kiwi" and in New Zealand "Oh you're Aussie,G'day mate!"

I have a pretty neutral accent. I'm from the mid Atlantic region and we don't really have an accent there, we're below the New York and about the Southern North Carolina accent.

Everyone has an accent.

Generic American English for the most part, but I randomly slip into a Southern accent at times. Especially when the dining hall is serving a Southern-style meal. I always say, "Yall," since I think its a valid contraction, but I don't say it in an obnoxious manner.

When I speak English, I either have a twisted British-like accent, a slightly Russian sounding one, or a little like German. Depends on the mood.

What do you get when you have a guy of British descent, and then talk to him with British, German and Italian accents? My accent, which is Irish-American-Australian. (Im Aussie) it funny coming through the airport and being asked when im going back to America

It's funny, I never really thought I had much of one, but I was chatting with someone in the break room the other day (from a different company) and commented that I was originally from the Northeast (United States) and he immediately asked if I was from Jersey. I'm not, I'm from the suburbs of Philadelphia, but he was darned close. So I guess I have some kind of recognizable accent.

Western Canadian, sort of like a combination of Canadian and Mid West American accents.
