I love the forgotten realms and R.A in general. But please answer this for me, is there ANY MMO today that does not have some unoriginal idiot ripping of Drizzt or Gandalf or other fictional characters?

You mean the players doing that or NPCs? If it's the players, so what? Unless you're an RP'er perhaps, then I suppose I could see it as an annoyance at best. But, there's not much to do about it in that case.

If it's the devs, well, not much luck there either. Suck it up or quit I guess. And honestly, and example would have been nice, because I'm assuming that you've played X game and found, that yes, such and such character does indeed resemble another character from a book etc.

Also....should this be in gaming?

It is possible to not include Orcs in a fantasy RPG. I guess many developers don't seem to grasp that.
