I only eat fast food under two circumstances a) I'm traveling and I need to stop for lunch. For a) I'm partial to Subway, but for b) I like to have a good old fashioned Big Mac meal. I'm aware of how bad the stuff is for you, so I don't eat it often. Oh, and whoppers suck.
Big Mac. And this should have a poll.
You are what you eat. I'll eat fast food maybe every 3 months, and usually get whatever is near by. It's more out of need then want. Personally I like the whopper best...but I always feel like garbage after I eat it.
I mostly eat at Whataburger or Sonic when I want a burger but I prefer the Whoppers out of those two. If there was a White Castle were I lived though, holy shit my diet would consist of nothing but sliders.
The Whopper tastes better to me, mostly because of the Tomato's in them and I like Tomato's.
Alas, I don't have that forsight. My preference for fast food would have to be between Taco Bell and Subway.
Well, My mom has been going through a rough time recently, and so she isn't cooking, and after long days in the hospital with her and taking her from doctor to doctor, I don't want to cook either, and I still need to eat.
Big Mac FTW. It's all about the secret sauce.
The burgers won´t make you fat, but the fries will. P.S. I vote for the Whopper.
Oh, that is actually a good defense of fast food. Freaking cheap when you order off of the dollar menu. My mother got us fast food a lot more when she was having troubles with her car. Plus, fast food can be a great way to feed hobos. TheBenMan, if it's all about the secret sauce, you know you can order it on a regular burger, right? When I go to McDonalds, I'm partial to a double cheeseburger, but since I had my first Big Mac not long ago, I started ordering it with the secret sauce. You could probably do the same thing with a plain, single-patty hamburger.
Meh I find you gotta go KFC in that case. Popcorn chicken is outta this world when baked. Back to the topic, I gotta go with the Big Mac, I worked at Burger King before, so I know how the Whoppers are made and where they're stored, and I'll take the blissful ignorance that comes with the Mac, thank you. And I wish to god we had a Taco Bell in my town. There are 4 freaking A&W's but no Taco Bell! It saddens me.
I don't eat fastfood ever, not because I don't want to (even though I don't) but because I can't. I won't go into why but at least I have an excuse not to eat shit whenever I drive by a McDonalds.
you can get beetroot on a whopper.
It neither for me. I love Jack in The Box. Especially since it cheaper the Burger King and Mcdonalds.
Whopper, but I think the issue is not the burgers, its the fries and soft drink. The burger probably has stuff wrong with, but eating one every now and then is fine. But the fries people! They are like pure fat and salt. The soft drinks worse (in my opinion) because they are easy to drink and nothing but sugar (which is turned into fat). Whenever I go to BurgerKing (called Hungry Jacks in Victoria, Australia) or a MacDonalds, I order just a burger or if I'm really hungry two.
I don't eat fast food often. Neither, I don't like Big Macs or Whoppers. However, I like In-&-Out Burger. Double-Double FTW!
The secret sauce is just ketchup and mayonnaise mixed together. Sorry to ruin that secret for you. Anyways, when I eat fast food it's Chipotles, which for those that haven't had it, is a huge, delicious, freshly made burrito that doesn't sit under heat lamps for five hours. Instead they grill and cook the ingredients and keep them warm in steam warmers, then assemble them into a burrito according to order. And it only takes about 1 minute from when you get to the head of the line to getting your burrito, and most of that is paying for it.
Really? I thought it was Thousand Island. (If I've lost you, go watch Fast Times at Ridgemont High.) I don't eat a lot of fast food, but of the two, I definitely prefer Whoppers. Everything at McDonalds tastes like radioactive waste. I'll second the In-n'-Out, though. If I didn't already live in Cali, I would consider moving here just for the double-doubles and strawberry shakes. As for Chipotles, I've only been once. I'm glad they decided to give me some burrito with my salt.
Have you never done a Maccas run? This is usually during a drunken night out. Walk to the nearest Maccas/ Hungry Jacks (that's Western Australia's Burger King, same company just a different name.. don't know why but there you go), usually drunk or hung over, as greasy breakfasts rule. Only after a night out though.. otherwise it can be a bit rank.
Is this about the preference of Big Macs to Whoppers or the junk food health dilemma?
Ever since I moved out on my own I've begun eating fasst food almost once a day. Although I am now much more free to go running/work out whenever I need to so I think it will balance out (For now at least, Im 19 and my metabolism is at its peak). Of course my roommate signed us up for a cokking class in the coming months so hopefully our eating habits will change. ON TOPIC: The new Angry Whopper at Burger King is quite righteous.
Yes it is tjtim, yes it is!
Whoppers. them mother truckers r huge... and rate tasty
I've eaten a lot of both, but I definitely prefer the Whopper. Just... well, yeah, tastes better. Bigger too. For everything except the burger (fries, rest of the menu, the state of the restaurant, friendlyness of staff etc.) I prefer McD though.
I'm voting for the whopper. Mostly because there is more of it, it's more filling and it tastes nicer (in the opinion of me and my girlfriend). That said, we've both packed on a bit of weight in the past month or so (getting used to our exercise regime or not exercising enough) so I'm going to have to give up on the fast food for a bit. Right after this burger.
I know that, but it doesn't change the fact that it's delicious.
I agree that I always thought the secret sauce was thousand island, or a version on it because it has vinegar and mayo in it.
I like neither. If I have to eat fastfood, I eat at subway. Of course, I come from a small town, so the time's where regular food isn't an option is few and far between.
Whoppers generally have alot more in them and are abit beefier however the service in our local Burger King is awful. So i'd say if it was just about the burger than Whopper hands down, but if its combining the whole eating experience aswell i'd say the Big mac.
I gotta say Whopper, they are just bigger and better.
Neither, you find the nearest Wendy's and order yourself a Big Bacon Classic.
I have no particular fondness towards either.
I never eat at Burger King or McDonalds. The only time that I eat fast food is when I'm traveling for long distances in the car, and then I usually try to stay away from fast food burgers.
Well, I've never had a Whopper, so I'll have to say Big Mac. I don't even like fast food. I do, however, LOVE Sonic's drinks.

WHY EAT EITHER OF THEM!?
It troubles me so much to hear my eleven-year-old future stepbrother say to me that he has Big Macs all of the time. FUCKING ELEVEN-YEARS-OLD! I'm sixteen and I had my first Big Mac not even a month ago. He's going to wind up like my brother, who for some reason is still surprised by the fact he weighs two-hundred-and-eighty pounds when he started eating Big Macs at age ten. I was still eating Big Kids' Meals until I turned thirteen.
Then again, why eat fast food at all? Fine, it's good. A lot of it tastes really good. But when it costs less to buy three school lunches than it does to buy a meal from McDonalds, I figure it's probably not worth it. sxephil (I'm sure some of you know him) spoke recently of how a large portion of children these days have arteries of forty-year-olds. (Or some age group like that)
Now until more people bypass the gene that forces our bodies to store more fat than we need in today's society, it's not smart to eat fast good. Especially not Big Macs. They had that really big basketball player in the commercials for them a lot -- what makes anyone think that it's suitable for their much smaller and much less active selves?
