When I first heard rumors of the live action movie I knew it would be a bad idea and prepared myself to boycott the film. Then this trailer came out. I didn't prepare for the horror that was this trailer, my eyesight and hearing has been permanently damaged as both of my senses tried to put me out of my misery by attempting to commit suicide. This is easily one of the biggest adaptation disappointments I think I've ever witnessed (and I haven't even seen how bad the movie will be). The DB movie the live action adaptations of Resident Evil look good in comparison.

Even if he was yellow, brown, or black, nothing change the fact, that this movie has NOTHING to do with Dragonball; the producers could easily change the film name, and characters/location/attack moves name, and we wouldn't even notice a single thing.

the inspiration for the film goes hand in hand with the DBZ franchise, fucking it up is a part of making it, if they did make the film without any of the DBZ in it, then people would bitch that its ripping off DBZ and its doing it badly.

im going to see it. I don't know if it's going to be any good or if it's going to suck like a hooker with a vacuum for a throat, and I don't care. see, i have absolutely no attachment to the source material at all. If it sucks as a movie, then that's all I'll have to say about it. If, however it's good movie that takes the Dragonball Mythos and craps on it, I won't be complaining. Especially being that Dragonball started as a parody/retelling/adaptation of Journey To The West, I don't see a complete new direction as a crim against god

Looks like crap, casting is horrible and i think the director's on drugs.

Man, I loved the cartoon but very rarely does that sort of concept actually translate well to live action so for me, no.

Akira toriyama, the creator of it said it is kid friendly. when the show was on air it had more blood than stigmata and now it is dumbed down by the FCC for family values.

Animated Dragon Ball series weren't exactly the best, but they were okay and rather fun...

But a live action movie will RUIN it completely. I've seen the trailer, and it's not even right.

It's going to be a terrible movie if they are ever going to make it. Urgh.

Why would I want to see this travesty? Seriously. The anime ranks right up there with barney the purple dinosaur for intelligence and ability to keep my attention, which is to say, the first thing I think when I see it is "oh crap! oh crap! Where's the remote! I've gotta change the channel before my TV implodes from the total vacuum of sheer suckiness!" I don't believe the live action will do anything to improve on my opinion of DB.

I want to see it so then I'll know what I'm talking about when I'm bashing it.

Dragonball never fulfilled the basics of good storytelling to begin with, so why oh why would I wish to defile my eyes and mind with this soon-to-be rubbish? Pass.

Making a live action film based on an anime is stupid. GTO was stupid and I'm sure DBZ is equally stupid. It never works out right, mostly because animation is entertaining partially because it's animation and some elements don't work in live action. In order to get around those elements, production studios change the characters, the plot, everything fans love about the series.

It's not worth abandoning the source material entirely to make a movie that only fans will go see being that fans will be disappointed with the result.

Fans, REAL fans won't even give time to air on TV!!!, it is dumbed down for the Disney Channel, i love hannah montana and the new yu-gi-oh 5D crowd.

IT IS RIPPING OFF DBZ and ITS DOING IT not badly, but HORRIFYINGLY BAD!!! In the promo, 20th century fox says that it is retelling the story of Goku for Moviegoers.

There are no Nazi's in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. They are Soviets. A bad movie none the less.

I am undecided. I am a bit curious to see the changes, as bad as they will be. But I also don't want to give Fox my "dollor vote". If I sneaked in, sure I would see it.
