That may seem strange to others. I grew up on BLT's slathered in peanut butter, and I think it tastes horrible without this addition. I also couldn't imagine cheese sandwich's without butter.

What are some of the odd foods you like that may even go as far to repulse others?

I'm not sure how outlandish this is, but my mother used to mix cut up hot dogs into Kraft macaroni and cheese as an inexpensive way to beef up the meal. I thought it was delicious, and now, I can't eat that nasty, powdered imitation cheese macaroni without hot dog segments mixed in.

Corned Beef
Pot Roast
Lasagna

EDIT: Oh, things other people may not like. Well then, I have to say Calamari, Escargot, Rabbit, and I once had grilled field mouse that was delicious.

Haha I am a bit curious as to what a twiglet sandwich is?

Vegemite. On anything.

You'd be surprised at how good it is on pancakes (thick ones, none of this crepe BS).

Fresh basil leaves wrapped around hot dogs.

I love hot dogs in mac & cheese too. =)

Well, this isn't really disgusting, but I grew up on scooby-doo macaroni. To this day I don't eat mac and cheese unless it's scooby-doo.

It just tastes better...

Manestra. It's a Greek soup made with either lamb or ham and cooked in a broth with milk. That and cucumber soup with sour cream. Yum with a capital, uh, yum.

Raw Sprats.

Or Escargot, my dad used to do a lot of daytrips to France for cheap vino, which meant waking me and my mother up at 5am for a drive to Ramsgate and onto a Ferry to Dunkerque. Always made me vomit as a kid.

My dad always improvised when he cooked. As a result I don't think I've ever had the same meal twice if he was cooking.
I will recall an anecdote about sandwiches from when I was 3 however. When I was 3 my mum would always make me sandwiches with peanut butter and nutella. I for some reason was under the impression that if the peanut butter was on top then the flavor would overwhelm the chocolatey goodness of the nutella. If my mom gave me a sandwich with peanut butter on top I would scream and cry because apparently just flipping the sandwich over wouldn't work. So, my mom would take the sandwich and "remake" it, which involved flipping it over. Then I would see the Nutella on top and be completely content to eat it.

Man I was a dumbass 3 year-old.

I've always liked tacos and porridge. Especially porridge with a hint of vanilla... mmmm... good.

Pringles. They were really cheap and my cousin was working in a local supermarket. They gave him a discount for "almost expired" Pringles. If they had 1 week left, he could buy them for 50% less.

Good times.

I love this, though I put mayo/miracle whip on the other slice of bread. Might sound disgusting, but it makes it moist and tastier. Give it a whirl sometime. Dove is really good, too.

Twiglet sandwich.

That is friggin' awesome dude. By the end of today i shall try one and hopefully i will love it!

I grew up with lots of things so i don't really have a food which i grew up on so i have no input i am afraid but i do know that i currently love Reeses Cups yet am unable to eat them. Woolworths was the only place which sold them near me and as you may or may not know their slide into economic oblivion has left an addict without his fix. Oh woe is me...

Coca-Cola. Seriously, why haven't I gone into cardiac arrest yet?

Also I used to make these things I called power smoothies. Basically, they were bananas, milk, maple syrup, ice cream, honey and vanilla essence blended and then drunk. I thought they made me stronger. I was seven.

I've had mini cheddars, hula hoops and just plain crisps, but I've never tried twiglets...I've got to now!

I have now entered a world i feel will consume me. I have had a twiglet sandwich now and have found the pronounced crunch of the twiglet combined with the generally soft nature of bread has opened my eyes to new possiblities. I have also found that twiglet sandwiches work so well with cheese, its like a cheese and marmite sandwich but with more crunch and attitude!

I grew up in the UP, so food was limited. Tuna-noodle Cassarole was a big deal, as were my Grandmothers pancakes. Thankfully, I've moved away from there and now live in a place where I can get REAL food :)
