A man addicted to computer games swallowed five pieces of saw blade to commit suicide.

Fu, 23, kept talking incoherently about how to win his favorite computer games, even after being sent to a Beijing hospital ICU for round-the-clock emergency treatment on Sunday.

He has been addicted to computer games since early in junior high school, but his condition worsened recently, said his parents.

WOW! Saw blades? That is one rough way to go. I wonder if anyone bothered to look to see if this guy had any other mental issues bedsides supposed "game addiction". It seems just like in America and other nations, China's favorite scapegoat are video games. Because as we all know, they are the root of all EVIL. What a bunch of BS. I also have to wonder what kind of relationship he has with his parents. Everyone always wants to blame something other than themselves. It is all really sad.

Ok...one question that still goes unanswered is what was it IN RELATION to video games that pushed this man to commit suicide?

Was he not allowed to continue playing?
Was he losing at a particular game?
Did someone offend him on an online forum?

And of all ways to try to kill yourself, why swallow saw blades? I can easily think of five better ways to do yourself in, with this in mind it is pretty clear that the person in question wasn't mentally stable (in which case, who's to say it was the games?).

They haven't said nearly enough to either prove that games were or weren't the cause.

How could he even make himself swallow five saw blades? I think that he would have internal bleedings and lots and lots of pain pretty quickly after swallowing the first, or maybe he took them all at once... Anyway, why chose saw blades to kill yourself, why not something less painful.

And obviously games had nothing to do with it.

It sounds less like a suicide due to his addiction to video games causing depression or something. It sounds more like he thought: "If I swallow saw blades, think how much of a badass I would be. The internet will remember me forever."

Not to sound insensitive but... there are way easier ways to go. Why choose sawblades to the inner esophagus?
