Prince Harry apparently called one of his fellow cadets a 'paki' and made a 'raghead' remark. This incident was recorded 3 years ago whilst he was a cadet, but this is not the first time something like this happened (Nazi fancy dress anyone?). I personally think he isnt a racist, but he is an arrogant idiotic toff, who is so sheltered by a cushy life he lacks empathy. What do you think?
The only Harry-related clusterfuck that would be worth a second comment if the guy wasn't a member of the Royal Family is the Nazi costume thing. This one is only slightly more disturbing than the revelation that he drinks and smokes (GASP!) marijuana, which is to say, not at all.

And you might not think it, but when someone calls you that, especially if you aren't Pakistani, then it is even more insulting.
If someone called me a Paki I would just assume there an idiot, then again I'm not an over sensitive pussy. That be like getting offended if I went to "insert country no one has ever heard of here" and getting offended someone called me an american or yanki. Pretty sure I wouldn't even bother to correct them let alone cry a river about it.
That surprised me to, even the guy who got called Paki didn't care. Thats what seems to matter here, it was a nickname and the guy who had the nickname was fine with it.
It seems like calling somebody a Aussie, only 30 years ago Aussie wasn't a slur.

We all can't be internet tough guys like you.
Oh, and please don't beat me up because my world views don't exactly match yours.

Paki is a racist term now?
The term 'sand nigger' (also 'Snow Nigger') is absolutely hilarious because it implies that one day, not far in the future, extra terrestrial will land on earth and a man, perhaps wearing a nascar baseball cap, will stare at the multi-tentacled creature that's traveled millions of miles to talk to us, and call it a 'space nigger'.
Who really cares anyway? Celebrities and higher figures are judged for everything they do and whoever uses some celebrities as role models are mostly idiots.
Maybe he is racist or maybe he is just an idiot. Though the Nazi dress up did actually make me chuckle a bit. It's not every day a royalty dresses up as a racist figure.

OMFG peope in the army swear and use politically incorrect terms? Call the news immediately.
Honestly this is ridiculous, I have two friends both of them trained riflemen in the Australian army and the stories I've heard would amaze you. The army is essentially a completely different world, the training process is harsh, they get sworn at like you'd never believe and you expect their day to day language to not feature some swearing and derogatory terms.
Sure being raised in the royal family may have been "cushy" but certainly Harry is not a sheltered playboy, he has done intense military training and served overseas in dangerous warzones.
And the Nazi thing is ridiculous, it was a costume party damnit, its not like he wore one on a whim down the street.
He's an idiot. We haven't enough information to conclude if he's also a racist. He's a spoiled brat with a distinct lack of a filter between his arse and his brain, making the stuff from the former leak into the latter. And this isn't a recent development, let's just remember the Nazi uniform on Holloween. Calling people Pakis and Ragheads WHILE being filmed is nothing short of collosal idiocy...

After reading this I actually have to agree, this is just elevated because of the media.

Exactly my thoughts upon hearing this "story" earlier in the CNN News Cycle. Having come from a long line of ancestors who served not only in the US Military but our respective European nations as well before coming across the pond it isn't even surprising. I've heard far worse language at the dinner table at family gatherings.

Nope, insults are based on what the hearer thinks, not what the speaker intends. For example some older people might use the n-word (black folks) without the slightest of intent to insult, yet it is magically considered an insult.
On Prince Harry subject, who gives a damn what useless celebrities think or say. I thought we were all past that.
