Sorry, yes it is. Pick one and wear that one only. If your feeling adventurous you could switch off day to day. Then again you might not want to take watch etiquette lessons from the guy who wears his watch on his right hand.

What's wrong with that? Although, I wear my watch on my left hand, so what?

take a close look at anyone who wears a watch, 95% at least wear it on their left hand. It's proper etiquette too, don't ask according to whom but I know it is because I've been told so by a few different people. I chalk it up to another one of my odd Italian mannerisms like not switching hands when I use a fork, that's another one that most people don't realize they do.

That. Chose one you like. In my experience people with multiple watches tend to be a bit... unconventional. (aka "I wear 2 watches, one shows time on Mars so that I'll know when Martians sleep and can not listen to my thoughts. That is also why I wear tinfoil on my head.")
I assumed most people wore a watch on their off-hand. If you're left-handed, wear it on your right wrist, etc. Personally, I don't wear a watch at all. Too much danger of getting it damaged, but if I didn't need to track two timezones, I probably wouldn't wear two.

It's not left hand vs. right hand, it's just off-hand.
Most people are right handed, so they wear their watches on the left.
Neither. Depends on the situation. I own two watches, but still wear my old one. If you travel a LOT between timezones and you have each set to a different timezone: A-okay.
Tow watches for no reason? I dont know.. try it for fashion testing.

nope my dad is left handed and he wears his watch on left hand, he was the first person to point it out to me.

Huh... That sounds like the bandwagon falacy. "Because they say so." Although, to be fair, the entirety of fashion is dependant on the bandwagon falacy so meh, w/e. I couldn't care less if it was proper etiquette or not though, I would wear my watch on either wrist, I just prefer my left 'cause it's easier to strap.

The habit evolved because early watches were rather heavy and encumbered writing if worn on one's dominant hand. Now it's simply a matter of conformity (etiquette being basically trivial conformity).

I wear mine on my right, because I'm left-handed. I also use my fork in my left hand.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrist_watch_(history)#Wristwatches although that doesn't exactly detail it it does give me an idea why there might be a trend of wearing the watch on the left hand. think about holding a rifle, your right hand is on the trigger and your left holding the gun steady, this made the left hand much more open for putting a wristwatch on it just in case you need to remain alert and keep time, but that's just a theory.
EDIT: it seems like several people have thrown in their two cents since I went hunting for info, and I'm just going to leave this where it is, what I was talking about being odd for me because I'm right handed and I wear my watch on my right hand a habit shared by my father, except he's a lefty, It's just something odd I noticed, its odd enough for people to wear a watch on their right hand but even then its because they are lefties.
Pros and Cons of Wearing Two Watches Simultaneously
PROS:
Ability to average both displayed times and have time-keeping accuracy to half of a second.
+2
Bling factor.
+1
CONS:
Get weird looks all the time.
-1
Have either two awkwardly encumbered hands or one very awkwardly encumbered hand.
-2
People will ask why you wear two watches, which will inevitably lead to you having to explain the whole situation to multiple people.
-2
OVERALL: The whole situation nets a social demeanor of -2. Could be pulled off with a very suave attitude (+2) or having an workplace-renowned quirky attitude (negates social quirk of user's choice).
Well, if they were set to different timezones, it'd be kinda fun. When people ask you what time it is, you could say, "I don't know, but it's 11:52 in Moscow."

Hrm. Thanks for the new wardrobe ideas.
Why Moscow? Are you a Communist? *squinty glare*
No. You obviously don't comprehend the mechanics of long-distance espionage.

my friend wears two watches and it's terribly convenient. more often than not a friend needs to borrow a watch so mr two-watch can easily part with one for a while. that and my schoolclock is fucked up so he has one watch set to school time and one to real world time.
When it comes to fashion he has gotten some odd looks but since he always wears a jumper people can only see one.
I just got a new watch as a gift but I already have a watch so I decided to wear both and I`m just wondering is it stupid?
