Ooh, for me it's a tough battle between Archemitis, Merivale or Revernd Awesome. I will have to go for Archemitis', because the poetry and that fact that I want to be able to do that wins out over the rest. But an excellent job from everyone; I wish I was as good as you guys.
Man this is tough. Um......OK, I think I gotta go with the good Reverend on this one, his just stands out the most for me, the single solitary black spec on the surf of the beach, as the huge red lighthouse looks on. Plus I gotta say the paint effect, making it look like the water is actually reflecting back at the walker, showing him what's in him, it's the winner for me.
Archemitis. Excellent style in my eyes, as well as a very poignant theme.
Archemitis' picture is, in my opinion, the best.
I'm going to vote for mine, if that's allowed.
Archemitis' picture for me.
I'll vote for you as well.
I'm gonna go ahead and vote for myself, big fish in an empty pond ;)
It seems we're allowed to vote then. Archemitis and NewClassic's are great, but Cxizent's is just brilliant. Definitely rooting for the latter.
Wow, I'm a finalist, well I'm honestly gonna put my vote in for Zemalac considering how I expressed my liking for that before the voting started.
Now I feel kind of bad for voting for myself...
Zemlac's entry struck a chord with me. I'll got for that one.
Ah, no need to, IT was either i vote for you or I vote for myself too Figured my Ego's been stroked enough just by getting into the finals xD
I would cast my vote for Zemalac's entry. I especially like what looks like ice at its base. Well, it has a lofty feeling, which is something I always get when I think of lighthouses, and I love lofty.
First of all I'd like to congratulate everyone who made it into the finals. Great job :) I vote for Zemalac's entry. The first time I saw the picture I was taken aback immediately.
just gonna vote for me so that i get at least one vote. and to make zemalac feel better about not voting for archematis' entry.
Puppeteer Putin. Wins my vote
My vote goes to Zemalac. Great job by him, and everyone involved!
I'm going to throw in a vote fro Nuke. I liked his piece... a lot.
I'm voting for Valandar, I like his the best.
My vote goes to Zemalac.
I have to vote for Archemetis. His picture is made of awesome.
NewClassic. | |
I like Merivale's attempt even though the images are very roughly spliced together. I loved Archemetis' art style but the Hallmark card style message made me throw up in my mouth a little. Props to Rev Awesome and Zantos for going being totally old school hardcore and working with paint. Nice work guys. In the end I have to go with Merivale.
I understand what you mean, entirely, even I can't stomache reading it, So i just ignore it now.
I am loved! Thankee. Also, I think I'll vote for myself as well, though it sickens me to give myself a shameless self-prop. Thanks all who voted =]
Go go gadget Revernd Awesome.
Hmm.. I vote NewClassic (Although it's really hard to choose)
Thank you! Stoked to be one of the finalists. I'm going to put my vote to Merivale. The detail on the hand is amazing and the spirography is sublime. I know it's not strictly spirography but it's still damn cool. And having the negative of the photo juxtaposed to the graphite smudged page.. Just so cool.
Just a reminder, voting closes in 7 hours and 15 minutes.
What happened to my vote?! oh well I voted Merivale!
Voting is closed, I'm tallying it up now.
Our winners are: 1st: Zemalac Congrats! A whisper in the trees has it that the next competition will be in early May.
Cool, second place. That's not bad. Well done to the others, great work all around, and the same to those who didn't make place.

So the Judges' decisions are in. It was quite a tight poll in the end with only one vote separating several people. However, the numbers have come down to the following. Please vote for the one you think is the best. Because the polls can only have 8 options and we have 9 finalists, post votes and I'll tally it up at the end.
Voting closes Monday 9th Feb, 12 noon GMT.
