On the Record Posts: 6149 Joined: 14 Sep 2008 | Two nunchuks (wooden), replicas of the twin swords Ulrich von Jungingen gave our king before the Battle of Grunwald, a 1.1m katana (not keen - it's illegal to buy or sell such weapons, but I can pay to get her sharpened), a nice persian dagger (this one is sharp - not to cut, but if I tried, I could pierce skin - and would hurt a lot, it's a curved blade). I also used to have a self-made bo staff, but my mom thought it was an old piece of furniture and threw it out during one of the spring cleanings. Oh, and my father is an ex-policeman, so he has a handgun. At least he used to, not sure if he still has it. |

what? one 2-hander, Elaborate, sir. Anyway, I thought about buying a .22 rifle for 75 bucks. I have an old revolver that my grandfather gave me, but I haven't fired it, ever. I think it's a .22, but I haven't looked at it in a while. I have a machete, but that was because I hadn't mowed my lawn in about a year, and it was starting to look like the congo. |

Muckraker Posts: 244 Joined: 5 Mar 2008 | One of my dad's mates bought him a varnished wooden club with a lead core to keep in his car (he's a taxi driver in Glasgow). He doesn't use it - inside a car isn't really the place for blunt melee weapons - so I assume it's in the house somewhere. There isn't much apart from that. According to eBay my '84 Megatron reissue counts as an imitation firearm. With my background in chemistry I could probably put a bomb together using household compounds, but anyone with internet access or a copy of the Jolly Roger Cook Book can do that too. We keep two stainless steel washing poles behind the front door, which could come in handy in a siege scenario I suppose. -Nick |

Then I turned 17, realized I wasn't cool and stopped carrying anything. Followed closely by the "Sell them or go to jail" mandate. |

In this department I have more quantity than quality to say the most. Two crappy swords that found there way with some bowie knives. Recurve Bow Firearms: Beretta PX4, Beretta CX4, SKS, and a Remington 870. |

Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 765 Joined: 9 Apr 2008 | For my personal defense I have - A hammer that I made in highschool metalshop class. Carries mostly sentimental value, but it is still a heavy piece of metal on the end of a stick. Works nicely as an actual hammer as well. - A baseball bat - A knife that I made myself. I worked at one of those historical recreation sites a while back, and I spend a few days making a badass knife in the blacksmith shop. The blade is about 5 inches long and curved slightly. The handle is bent around at the end to make a pommel and the whole handle is wrapped in a cord of leather. Once again, I keep it mainly for sentimental reasons, but I sharpen it every now and then and it is highly capable of causing damage and death. |

SA80 in the unit barracks that I'm not allowed to take out whenever I want... errr. I think that's it really, unless you count broken bottles or fists as weapons. Edit: a pool/snooker cue in NOT a weapon no matter what the law says, HOW could you hurt somebody with that (without it snapping)? |
On the Record Posts: 6234 Joined: 10 Aug 2008 | Well, I personally don't have anything. Used to have a bokken when I practiced with it a bit, but I gave it away... My brother still practices with 2 sets of nunchucks tho. Owning a gun is pretty illegal in Canada, and that's good =D |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2748 Joined: 20 Jan 2009 | Lets see... I have an assortment of hunting rifles ranging from a .22 caliber to a 9mm magnum (yes it is a rifle), about 8 pistols again ranging from .22 caliber to a 44 mag. Several shotguns in there too, and a few hunting knives. Ive also got reloading equipment for making custom ammunition. Oh yeah, and a few bows like bow and arrow bows. My family loves to hunt. |

Infamous Scribbler Posts: 613 Joined: 2 Feb 2008 | I have a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning. It also has tits. And is on FIRE. Actually, I have two very, very old Spanish epées (very thin fencing swords, thicker than a foil though), this neat Gil Hibben fighting dagger (looks useless, but it's pretty solid and well-made), a machete, a hand-and-a-half Scottish broadsword, this odd one that's a long, thin sword like a rapier, but too long and heavy to be one. Not sure what it is exactly, but it has a swept hilt. This long Chinese pole-arm with a staff and curved blade on the end, a snake-head tanto/wakizashi/katana set (totally decorative), black wakizashi/katana set, this staff you pull apart with sword blades in each end, a Chinese long sword, some kindof Nordic axe. And quite a collection of random fixed and folding knives lying around each room. |
