And why do the Forerunner buildings look like Japanese pagodas? Besides that we already know what Forerunner buildings look like. All the buildings on the Halos and the Ark were Forerunner; they certainly didn't look like they belong in Feudal Japan. So I didn't like this episode for the same reason I dislike anime: the art style, the corny story and dialogue. Also, inconsistencies: the "Forerunner" architecture, which we know is not what it looks like, and the fact that the Spartan had long flowing hair; besides that it's impractical (how did it even fit in the helmet), it's against UNSC regulations. I wish they had gone to Western artists for these episodes instead of making them anime. I can only imagine how good it could have been then. |

Well, those could have been Forerunner housing. Remember, we have never seen non-weapon Forerunner locations. We've seen their weapon stations. Also, it's a SPARTAN, though. Spotted a couple of what looked like continuity errors, plus they were a little lazy when it cames to the Plus the biggest cliche in war movies. Oh, and the moment when the sniper shot was fired. Not to be nit-picking (but apparently people have when it comes to the armour), clearly they don't understand balistic mechanics. It may be a good rifle, but to take a shot from 2 miles away and hit the target by lining the scope up with the target? That doesn't quiet hold water... Finaly, the animation reminded me of "Thunderbirds 2086", which brings back bad memories... |

The red-haired one looks like he's twelve, the blonde one doesn't seem to realize that keeping a toothpick in your mouth hasn't been cool since the 1950's, the grey haired one looks like he's too old to be in service, and the black-haird one (yes, I hate this too much to learn any of their names) seems annoying. The spartan looks f**king horrendous. Yeah, maybe it's just that I seem to be programmed to hate most anime, but I can't even bring myself to continue watching this. |

I shouldn't complain, I'm probably going to watch all of them anyway since I'm a hopeless fan boy. Although I much prefer the books. |
