Halo Legends is the anthology. The episode is The Babysitter. Also, I'm going more by how schools do it. 5 is a failing mark, 7 is ok, 6 is bad, 8 is good, 9 is great, and 10 is godly.

Ugh, I hate anime. I agree with you completely OP. Why is a guy who looks and acts like a punky angsty 16-year-old an ODST? And why do the Forerunner buildings look like Japanese pagodas? Besides that we already know what Forerunner buildings look like. All the buildings on the Halos and the Ark were Forerunner; they certainly didn't look like they belong in Feudal Japan.
So I didn't like this episode for the same reason I dislike anime: the art style, the corny story and dialogue. Also, inconsistencies: the "Forerunner" architecture, which we know is not what it looks like, and the fact that the Spartan had long flowing hair; besides that it's impractical (how did it even fit in the helmet), it's against UNSC regulations.
I wish they had gone to Western artists for these episodes instead of making them anime. I can only imagine how good it could have been then.

Well, those could have been Forerunner housing. Remember, we have never seen non-weapon Forerunner locations. We've seen their weapon stations. Also, it's a SPARTAN, though. She doesn't have to follow the law/rules. Though the punk ODST was an idiot.
I thought it was ok as well, not great, just not that bad. I liked the particular anime style that they presented it in, it reminded me of Gundam Wing.
Oh, and yea that ODST sniper kinda anoyed me too.
Anyways, Im looking forward to the Waypoint episode next week.
She was wearing MK IV armour. Spartan armour didn't have a sensor until MK V and even then she can't see the radar when zooming with a scope. Also I doubt the ODST chose where his drop-pod landed. This review gets -10/9000

Oh, and the moment when the sniper shot was fired. Not to be nit-picking (but apparently people have when it comes to the armour), clearly they don't understand balistic mechanics. It may be a good rifle, but to take a shot from 2 miles away and hit the target by lining the scope up with the target? That doesn't quiet hold water...
Finaly, the animation reminded me of "Thunderbirds 2086", which brings back bad memories...

Well, Just seeing the ODST, I already hate them. These are supposed to be badasses? The red-haired one looks like he's twelve, the blonde one doesn't seem to realize that keeping a toothpick in your mouth hasn't been cool since the 1950's, the grey haired one looks like he's too old to be in service, and the black-haird one (yes, I hate this too much to learn any of their names) seems annoying. Wow that was painful, I'm normally such a fan of anime AND Halo, but together they don't mix at all, Badass silent action hero is a Western theme, whereas angsty pre-pubescent spiky hair boys who bitch obscenely loudly is a Japanese thing.
I shouldn't complain, I'm probably going to watch all of them anyway since I'm a hopeless fan boy.
I didn't like the fact that the spartan handled the brute in hand to hand combat for like a minute, she could have easily shot him in the face and that'd would've been truer to halo. but part from that is was a very well put together episode and I cant wait to see the rest

Having just watched the first of the Halo Legends shorts, I must say, It's OK. This episode wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, either. It was average.
