| Since yesterday I've noticed many differences between this game, and the first one. Im going to give it ALL the criticism it deserves.
So I rented the game yesterday for free, and I played it for a couple hours. I'd just like to say that "What went wrong in-between the first one and the making of the second one?". So many things in the second game bother me, that make it of lesser value then the first game! Lucy's face for instance, was the first thing I noticed that just made me go, what the hell. I know it sounds simple but the mechanics of her talking bothers me a lot.
On the other hand, I still appreciate the environments and how citizens interact with you, and thank god for the beggars that aren't cannibalizing your feet everywhere you walk. A well formed idea I liked was the monetary system that they implemented into it; where you upgrade, your armor and even change the color of your outfit. Paying off certain factions to follow you, and distract local guards if your notoriety is red within the city to make a quick escape, was a lot different then blending in with monks and setting the controller down till you were out of the limits.
Jumping was touchy as well, its like Ezio didnt know where he wanted to jump at all times; and when he did, he seemed to use his intelligent A.I brain that climbing that only section of wall you need to escalate to get to the next objective point; is actually made out of a highly corrosive material.
My criticism may be very lenient to one side of my slight review, and not very well formed; but I conclude to the fact that there are wow moments in the game, then some other areas I'd like to set down my controller and just leave the room. |

Thank you Pimppeter. My review of all three Way of the Samurai games took me a good three hours to write and I swear takes up three pages single spaced. A bit of constructive criticism. Assume your readers have no idea what you're talking about and explain everything. Use comparisons to both games, be a little more in depth, mix things up. Who's Lucy? What's the currency system about? Is Desmond Miles still in the game? Answer those questions and give your opinion. |
