Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All Release Date: January 16, 2007
The second title in the Ace Attorney series for the DS, it too is a port of the GBA game,Gyakuten Saiban 2. While still true to the Ace Attorney style and humor, something felt lacking this time around. I will now present to the court, my testimony of PW:AA:Justice for All!!
Story
Taking place a year after the event of the original Phoenix Wright, our heroic defense attorney finds himself in a bit of a bind when he gets amnesia before his latest trial, somehow he pulls through, and meets up with his best friend and helper, Maya Fey, who has been training back at her home town to improve her spirit channeling abilities. Soon, things start to heat up when Franziska von Karma, daughter of Manfred von Karma, arrives as the new prosecutor for his upcoming trials, and eventually, Phoenix Wright will even have to question what it really means to be a true defense attorney...
I present this piece of evide....-whip crack- OWW! PAIN...More Pain!! -whip crack- Stop that, I'm just trying to....-whip crack-........
Gameplay
Like the previous title, Justice for All is a point and click style adventure game. Search different areas of the crime scene, examine evidence, question the witnesses and suspects, same as before,but.....this time around they added the Psyche-Lock system! This allows you to see if a person is keeping their mouth sealed about something, and you can attempt to break the lock to get more info for the case, while also restore your Justice-bar(that's just what I'm going to call it for now, it is a bar that appears during questionings and court, which goes down if you incorrect press someone or show wrong evidence).
The gameplay is one of the places where this sequel lacking I'm afraid. While still up to par with the style of the last game, the first 3 trails of this game feel...average at best, compared to the 3 long going, and gripping trials from the previous one. However, the last trail of this game, somewhat makes up for a bit of its downfallings, with it's massive depth, feeling, and looping.
Sound & Music
Sounds are basically the same as the previous title, but I felt that the music was lacking this time around. Most of the music sounded like increased its quality and added more depth to it, but at the same time, it like the..."umph" factor that the music from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney had to offer.
Questioned just seemed to be lacking, compared to Cornered from the last game
!!Final Verdict!!
While not as good as the original, that doesn't mean that Justice for All is bad either. Keeping everything from before, and adding a bit more, if you enjoyed Ace Attorney, you will enjoy this go-through as well. A must-get for fans for the series, but for new-comers, I highly recommend picking up Ace Attorney first. An overall fun experience!!
Reviewer's Tidbits
Like the last game, near the end, this game gets hard, and I mean HARD! You most likely need to look through an FAQ to get through it...I regret to say, that I had to...again for the more tricky parts x-x...Still a fun experience though.

| Not too bad, a little bit on the short side but it's creative.
To me Justice for All was the dip before the awesome hill that was Trials and Tribulations. |
