This is a short review, but I couldn't manage to write a whole page about it.

I recently downloaded the Spore Creature Creator but because I'm cheap I didn't buy the full version. It was a quick download, about 40 minutes, and once I started it up I was prompted to register. I declined eager to make a penis monster. I clicked on new creation and soon saw a yellow blob magically floating in air and got to work. Needless to say I did not make a penis monster; it turned into a sort-of purple ninja thing. I hade fun naming it (I named it purple rain, I haven't the slightest where the idea came from but it sounds cool), describing it, and coloring it. Soon my collection was at 23, all I still hadn't had enough. I wanted to insert pictures of some of them but I'm afraid I don't know how. So here is my spore creatures on my spore page.

The trial edition comes with 8 mouths, 3 arms, 3 legs, 7 feet, 7 hands, and quite a few extras. There may not be as much as the full edition but there's plenty enough to entertain you for hours or if you're easily entertained days. Each part will add to your animal's stats, sneaking, charm, bite, etc; but if you add to many items your creature will become too complex. You're also limited by money, but with the complexity meter it seems rather unnecessary.

The colors are pretty, you have plenty of options to colorize your Frankenstein and the graphics are pretty good. The collision detection does seem a little off, often times the animals hand would go right through its leg or the spike on its wrist and with my really fat creature the bottom of his/her gut didn't follow quite right. Still you can't complain (or you can but then you'd be nit-picking, now wouldn't you?) the trial versions free, it's a quick download, so what excuse do you have?

download it, or if you feel like paying, buy it

Feel free to comment should you be so compelled to.

You basically covered the general idea of it, as it was just a trial edition of a small percentage of a game. I'll agree with the collision detection, as usually, my creature's tail would seamlessly drift through the ground every time he so much as breathed.

It's interesting the creatures you can make with the trial edition, so I can't wait for the finished product. My creature turned out to be a Raptor / Octopus ... thing with four arms, three legs, a tail, and a huge mouth, with squinty eyes. I named him "Wung-Rex", as with some extra grass patches on his chin, he looked a bit Asian.

Anywho, I'll definitely be buying Spore when it's out.

Someone made a Spore creature of me (which was ultinatly a failed attempt at a penis), I'm so moved. I think this is bigger then adding someone on MSN.

The link doesn't send us to your models though.

the purple rain was a failed attempt at something for the creature contest, as always I got off track and it turned into a dinosaur. and I can't bring myself to even try to make a penis monster.

Thanks. They pretty good. Spore is the only thing inticing me to buy a decent computer. Playing it on a friends PC got me addicted. I keep making cute yet saviage and deadly creatures... and penises.

I feel bound by reality when I make mine. I try to make something over-the-top but it always ends up somewhat realistic.

*Sigh*
Penis jokes.

I for some reason am obessed with making creatures with one arm and three legs and little beady eyes.
