Still, it'll be hard for them to gain more votes than the vocal Valve community. -- Steve |

For Perfect Dark Zero! No, wait! Valve! For Half Life! For Portal! For Team Fortress 2! Well, I admit if I was ten years younger, I'd be opting for Rare here; as they would still be sawing away at my social life. Unfortunately, times have changed and now I spend my time on TF2 with my friends. So Valve it is. |

It's unfortunate, however, that most of Valve's other Half-Life titles weren't able to impress me quite like the original (though Episode 2 wasn't bad). The Orange Box was a breath of fresh air once it was released. Team Fortress 2 presented players with a well balanced multiplayer shooter featuring a wide variety of characters with distinct personalities, while Portal gave us a challenging, but not impossibly difficult gaming experience. What's more, Valve showed us with these two titles that even action and puzzle games can benefit from a healthy dose of humor. While I don't exactly like the idea of needing an internet connection to play some of my single player games, I do like how Steam's given some older and independent games some much deserved exposure via Steam's online store. |

Though their Episodic games are rather slow to appear, they are still amazing, and without Valve Gmod wouldn't exist. HL2 is still the best game they've made though. No wait, Portal's the best game they've made. Either way, I join the ranks of crowbar-wielding mute scientists. In the meantime, this is where I get off. |

(4) Valve vs. (8) Rare Ltd.:
Valve: Valve walks through yet another round untouched and fully charged up. With votes like this, does Valve have what is takes to go all the way?
Rare: Rare easily bumps Turn 10 from the tournament, giving it a shot at pushing Valve to the "defeated" section.
